Pumpkin Cafe in Darlington

Extremely bad mannered service. The silver haired woman behind the counter made me feel bad for asking for anything. Quite strange and unprofessional.

Would not recommend at all, save yourself the chew and go to costa. Ordered a drink with plenty of time and still nearly missed my train because they had no idea how to make the drink!! There were 2 people stood reading instructions on how to make an iced coffee? by this point my train was on the platform and ready to leave! What a waste of nearly £8, had to leave the shop without my drinks so I could catch my train in time!

We were short on time before or train but needed breakfast. The server was very slow, choosing to help her colleagues and full up the coffee beans before making our drinks. Stressful.

If you're looking at the Too Good To Go app, don't bother with this cafe. Paid on Saturday night, went to collect on Sunday to be told they don't do it on a Sunday. Magically before my eyes, as we were stood in Darlington train station in front of the staff member, then app then said there was nothing to collect from Pumpkin. The hapless girl could only shrug and mumble sorry. The app then said they sold out at 11.16 this morning! Got my money back, but what a waste of time. Bet the cafe pops up on the app again next Sunday

Visited the cafe morning, just before my train left to Edinburgh, I was in a rush, I dropped my bag and personal items fell all over the floor, completely flustered, the lady behind the counter came around to the front of the shop and helped me, she then asked could she get me anything, proceeded to take my order, bacon sandwich and a hot chocolate, the cafe was immaculate, and still managed to get the two other customers behind me food out at the same time as mine, who I may add didn’t help me what so ever, she’s a credit to the company and thank you for making my morning a little bit better

Service was excellent this morning what a lovely smiley lady even when the pressure was on, and she was on her own nothing was too much trouble thank you ever so much you made a very cold morning exceptionally warm and the hot chocolate was lush 😊

Always love to have a hot chocolate on a morning before my train and the prices are so affordable. Never had a tastier hot chocolate

I had a stressful journey so far and the lady behind the counter listened to me and really cheered me up, she was friendly and helpful and a credit to the cafe.

A few of us decided to have a coffee/tea and a sandwich before getting our train. I have never tasted anything so wrong in my life, I got a latte and a sausage sandwich. The sausage was ok but the bun was like rubber, they had put the whole sandwich in the microwave rather than just the sausage. I couldn’t even get my teeth through it. The ladies serving were overwhelmed and miserable. Never again

Sunday I got served by a young guy who clearly hated his job. I was going to let it go but when he dropped the plastic cups on the floor and put it back in the cupboard and just served it for me... Annoyed because I asked for a panni to be heated ? Why would I pay for a cold panni in bad weather and cancelled transport? I also got another meal so i don't see the issue.
