Sam Turner's Cafe in Darlington

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Much better service than their Northallerton and Stokesley branches where staff couldn't give a stuff.

Lovely garden centre, on site café and shop worth a visit, nice choice of plants that look healthy some items a little expensive but definitely worth a visit.

We've used Sam Turner's for various things over the years. From buying garden tools, timber, garden plants and toys for the little dude. We have used the café on a few occasions too. I've always found their staff to be very helpful and knowledgeable. Store is well lit and laid out. Cafe has a good selection of hot and cold food that arrives in good time. Prices are average. Well worth a visit .

Where else would you go for a jam and cream scone, an electric fence and a robotic mower? Good shop with very interesting and quality gardening and agricultural products along with clothing and a nice cafe. Only one niggle... the young staff in the cafe seemed a bit grumpy.

Sammy's has something for everyone. Apart from the huge array of garden machinery and tools, there is a clothing dept.,garden centre, toys, homeware, timber and building supplies and a cafe at Pierce bridge and Northallerton.1q

Lovely cafe' with good selection of home baked products . A welcoming place to relax after a good shop in the Garden Centre .

Great country store. A wide choice of garden equipment, clothing, pet and equestrian supplies plus lots of handy ancillary items. Always have plenty of stock in when other retailers have run short. Today we picked up replacements gas cannisters for our portable stove which were in scarce supply due to a huge mains power outage following a severe storm. Absolutely none to be found anywhere and even Amazon couldn't deliver for over a week. But once again Sam Turner saved our bacon...and at a really reasonable price. The cafe is a bonus.

Disappointing soup. Coffee and BLT very good, other customer's food looked good but the carrot and sweet potato soup was really poor, watery and tasteless. I can't believe whoever made that soup tried it once they made it. You can't just boil carrots and sweet potatoes, then add a bit of water an blend and expect tasty soup. A generous 3 stars for the other food.
