This is now an Italian restaurant called Allegria.. New owners. Food is plentiful & very tasty, nice atmosphere, friendly & comfortable.

This has been the most amazing restaurant where we have celebrated many of our special days, dropped in for casual dining or shared beautiful meals with friend. In 25 years we have always had the best meals cooked by fantastic chefs, served by lovely staff all of which we have come to consider our friends.Gutted to hear of its closure today.Darlington has lost a great restaurant.We wish everyone all the best for the future. Main dish was truly delicious. The quantity of the main dish was a bit small, but they made up for that by providing a huge quantity of delicious vegetables - more than I could possibly eat. The staff behaved like they were running a high-class restaurant, yet the prices were very tolerable.

Sardis is the best restaurant in Darlington . I have been coming here for nearly 32 years. It has never disappointed. Thanks for all the fabulous memories Salvatori and all the staff.

Fantastic food and plenty of it. Excellent service without being pushy. A no hassle restaurant where you can relax and take your time. Highly recommended
