Spice 4U in Darlington

Although the food was good ,( a little bland) the delivery service and after sales was terrible. I live in a large house phone signal isn't the best , adding to the confusion that just eat dosent connect all calls if you phone providers aren't the main four.But when I tried to explain to the owners that his driver didn't ring me when I didn't hear the door ,I was treat with complete disrespect. 😔

Had a fantastic meal at spice 4 u. The meat was so tender, best curry we have had in a while. Highly recommended. Staff were very helpful and friendly too.

My first time here and amazing food. I asked for recommendations and was not disappointed, chicken tikka garlic masala WOW!!! The place was busy but the staff gave 5 star service smiling and very attentive. Loved getting in to eat rather than takeaway at home. Big thank you to Ellis & Abdul 🤩

Such a Great VisitStaying in Darlington a few days we ventured out to Spice 4U in Cockerton, a 40 minute walk from our hotel, the idea being that the walk to and fro would 'wear off' some of the calories ingested. And we are so happy we did. The food cooked by Shelim couldn't be faulted. Everything was so well blended and tasty we ate far more than we should have in one sitting. Shelim even very kindly rejigged ingredients to serve us our very favourite dish, Keema Pathia, which was not on the menu. Other main dishes we tried were Chicken Pathia (far better than we've had elsewhere) and Chicken Tikka Shashlick ( with chicken tikka pieces so well marinated they were incredibly soft and tasty). Naans were equally impressive and difficult to stop eating. Overall a meal far beyond expection. Our waiters Salah and Abdul also could not have been more helpful and we had a great time chatting to them between courses.In terms of venue, Spice 4U is the first restaurant also handling takeaways that we've visited at which a door separates the restaurant from the takeaway counter. So much better an arrangement than having bags of food wafting past you on a regular basis while you're eating. And finally, we just have to mention the toilets... Wow! A lot of money has clearly been spent in provided such high quality and clean services, we just had to mention them here.We'll definitely be back next time we're in the vicinity. It's such a shame we don't live closer by.Thank you for such a memorable evening; best wishes to all staff.

All the staff are very friendly and accommodating, food was beautiful. Would absolutely recommend to anyone. Great night out

A Very average experience, we've been going here for years but tonight was terrible! We got our rice and naan bread roughly 15 minutes before our main meal, so by the time the main dish arrived our rice and naan were stone cold! The Kitchen staff didn't seem to be able to handle a table of 8? We were sent food that we didn't even order! The food was decent tasting but the portions were small, my Jalfrezi was mostly vegetables with only 4 pieces of Chicken?To top it off we were given dessert menus and after choosing our desserts we were told they didn't actually have any desserts available due to supplier issues???? Ridiculous.

We have been wondering how good the food was at Spice 4U and finally ordered a take away yesterday. It was fantastic and we will defiantly paying another visit. The service was excellent and the staff very polite. It took 30 minutes from ordering to picking the meal up. We were advised that this was the best option saving us a long wait. ( Thursday evening ) The portions were also very large and the price very reasonable.
