Tamarind Restaurant in Darlington

Been here 5 times already in the past couple months, the customer is excellent and the food even better! Best lamb chops I’ve had, also was pleased to see that serving with class is available in Darlington, the small details such as wiping down the cutlery with the white gloves gave a different type of feeling compared to other restaurants. Definitely would visit again

Loved the food and the presentation, instagramable interior, amazing customer service. They even do the golden burger. The taste of the food is authentic and beautiful also amazing cocktails.

Very good ambience, friendly staff and refreshing decor. Relaxed atmosphere. The food... on a different level, every dish was well executed. The pastries on the samosas were so light yet had a good bite. The variety of fillings were delicious. The paneer was flavoursome, outside was crispy and inside was creamy, not dry and chewy like most places (my fav dish). The chicken balti was tender and tasty. Lobster tail was really well seasoned and cooked. Mouth watering to the last bite. The lamb chops were perfection. Definitely coming back and recommending to loved ones. Finally found somewhere in Darlington with epic South Asian menu.

Absolutely astounding service and food. An entirely unique experience at Amari. We ate the rock lobster tail and lamb chops for starters and king prawn with chillies along side a couple vegan sides and rices and naans for mains. We truly have never eaten food like this in any Indian ever before. It was such a delight. Big shoutout to Jabs who took care of us from the moment we sat down and eventually reluctantly left. We will definitely be coming back and I truthfully recommend everyone to experience a very unique experience.

Top venue, ambience, and service . The food was on different level! I've been lucky enough to eat at some amazing places worldwide but a few of the menu items here were the best I've ever tasted. The paneer, samosa, lobster tail, lamb chops were all unreal. I'm really looking forward to working my way through the whole menu.

Amazing service, beautiful interior and food presented wonderfully. Enjoyed my first experience at Amari this evening! Food was hot and delicious. Only let down was the milk cake - I’ve had better but still presented stunningly. Worth a visit!

Simply an incredible experience, I came to Darlington from Newcastle because my cousin was getting married. We decided to find a place to dine in, and Amari exceeded our expectations on so many levels; the food was exquisite and the ambience was perfect and comforting. I wish places in Newcastle were this nice!

Highly recommend best food in Darlington an surrounding areas

Very disappointed in this place. The venue and inside looks brilliant but the service and food wasn’t great at all. We ordered drinks and starters and from there it took nearly two hours to get our mains. They seem to serve one table at a time and just ignored us until the food was finally ready. Once we got our mains which was butter chicken it was watery and didn’t have any real flavour. Whole thing was disappointing and over priced.

Such a beautiful venue!! Food was absolutely gorgeous, beautiful cocktail bar separate from the restaurant from those wanting drinks till late so will definitely be returning soon xx
