The Deacon in Darlington

We ate at The Deacon with friends a few nights ago and had a lovely meal - freshly cooked, tasty, sensibly priced, no long waits, friendly and attentive staff, and a small selection of quality beers to help wash it all down.

I loved it there because 5000 plus people accepted an invitation to learn how "love never fails ", 3 days of Heaven..sad to leave. .

Could be a lovely local, but little effort made by management regarding decor and entertainment. Quite expensive for what it is.

Have ever been into a public house that isn't your local and you get the feeling that everyone looks at you as you walk in. Well this isn't that place! It's not just the staff but the customers too, if you like to be welcomed in an establishment you choose to spend your hard earned money then this is where you want to be.

Nice clean freindly pub. Staff fantasic. Warm welcome. Reasonable prices. Was doun for couple of days visiting family ect. Best described as traditional pub
