Good place to go, all stocked up.

·

Went into the lounge, had to wait ages to be served and not that bothered. Also no fruit wedges for desparados etc.

·

Lovely Sunday dinner and reasonably priced would go again

Just bought a Sunday lunch to take out. The food was unreal. This is definitely my new place for Sunday lunch now. Worth the money 💰

Went for breakfast this morning. Not going to lie the price is amazing but the food its self was cold and tasted like it was made yesterday. Normally go all the time but this will be the last time. Dont know what's going on. Bacon was freezing and dry, toast was awful. Never again

Friendly staff/owners, great food, chill atmosphere. Would recommend.

Not a great entrance when you have to step over the bar staff having a tab on the door step. Waited 2/3 minutes for her to enter and serve us. Local guys in bar said just help yourself. They were noisy and obviously familiar with the procedures. Not visitor friendly. However my wife and I used to drink in here 40 years ago when we lived in Darlington and having just moved back may not visit again. Wine selection was poor. Lager was ok but I like real ale and there was not available.

Had to prompt for our drinks after being sat for 15 minutes. Got the order and bill wrong. Took ages to come, probably because they wanted to ensure my steak and ale pie was incinerated. We were the only food customers. But on a positive note; they were friendly and the wedges were nice.Boss did discount our bill on his own volition, but he managed to get that wrong too. Faulty Towers eat your heart out. We won't be back.
