Very nice dinner and it was lovely to get out as my wife and I have not had the opportunity to eat in a restaurant for a very long time. I look forward to going back again soon

Quite nice. Lovely building with tastefully done country pub appropriate decor and lighting. Staff all seem competent incredibly polite and though some are young, there is a steady hand guiding them.Drinks options are serviceable. Can't speak to the wine, but they had Aspall cider on draught. Not a Strongbow and Fosters place.Food though... Hit and miss. Two good starters followed up by two poor mains. The microwave did far too much work. On both meals.Dry possibly even heat lamp maintained meat. Microwaved veg. Just not good enough.Considering the excellent description on the menu, and the tasty nature of the starters, the mains were a crushing disappointment and vastly overpriced for the quality delivered.A shocking negative in an otherwise lovely establishment.

The place inside very nice.Thought the drinks a bit expensive. Starter very nice white bait but main duck meal small not up to my standard, carrots hard other veg, cabbage mixed with peas & potatoes. Plate could have been warmer. Staff very nice.

Lovely food, brilliant, friendly and helpful staff, lovely interior. All food was seasoned well, only one comment on slightly over cooked calimari but not enough to send back. All in all great experience and worth the money.

I really enjoy coming here. The service is spot on and the food is excellent. The portion size is above average but you can ask to take any remaining food home(if you have any!!)and it gets packed up for you. Good prices, fab and friendly staff. Overall a lovely place to come either as a group or a couple. Would highly recommend π

Lovely venue but remember to park round the back so as not to annoy the nearby residents. Extensive menu but we stuck with specials and had mozzarella sticks for starters. Then bbq chicken and bacon with sides for our main course. Being too full for a dessert we can't comment on their puds but all was well cooked and the service was excellent. We went on a quiet weds lunchtime but I imagine it gets very busy at weekends. Plan to go again soon as its a pretty village and a nice drive out from town.

The staff are wonderful and so thoughtful, made a real fuss and put up banners for a family members big birthday, and were generally lovely and kind. The food was fabulous and there were options for vegans which we appreciated - especially the sticky toffee pudding and the garlic mushroom starter! May never eat again from being so full, totally worth it!

Such a lovely pub and the friendliest service. We had a great lunch and the food was delicious! Highly recommend the pork belly and the white bait! Goats cheese parcel was also a winner!
