The Spice Island in Darlington

ordered my food got the food home to find that was over charged by five pounds the food was completely wrong the korma was spicy when it shud not be was given the wrong nan breads been going there for years and from now on I will not be going back any time soon

Food was 35 minutes late and cold. Jalfrezi had spicy heat but no real flavour. Chicken was tough, maybe because I had to microwave it. Bombay potatoes were boiled new potatoes in a sauce. Overall poor delivery and bland food.

Just gave the driver £20 pound for a tikka WRAP THAT ONLY COSTS £9.95. Which can I add no rice either 🤔 Driver didn't give me any CHANGE MANAGER SHOUTED AT ME ON THE PHONE. and restaurant refusing to Refund me. I wouldn't of gave him only £10 because I only had a £20 pound note on me. Driver is clearly ripping people off. Me nor my family will ever return you've lost some good customers Ali. Very disappointing!Ordered a biryani and a tandoori mixed kebab, there was a couple spoons worth of sauce to go with a mountain of cold rice and a total of 4 small chunks of chicken. The mixed kebab was a small box of oily tasteless rubber and nothing like the one I got last year.What a disaster.No taste, bland food and for £24 an absolute robbery.The place has evidently gone downhill and should he avoided at all costs.If you like filthy food fit for a homeless man, thrown together by robbing vermin, this is the place for you!

Excellent food, taste and quality. Food always arrives with a smile and hot. Definitely give them a try, Never been dissapointed.

Fantastic food! We usually take advantage of the delivery service but I'd visited a friend round the corner so popped in for a change! Lovely friendly service, will continue to use spice Island, best Indian food in town!

Been coming to Spice Island for over20 years but never again. Order never right, but we often let it go. Tonight they offered to deliver missing item. We gave them address and postcode etc. When they failed to turn up, we contacted them to discover they were at a different villlage 25 mins away. Ruined our family’s meal. Couldn’t make it up! Rubbish. Lost loyal customers tonight

This restaurant is AMAZING, great portions, great food and great customer service. The food is always delicious and never fails to satisfy (apart from once). The only time it has failed to please was on Christmas Eve when they were extremely busy, it was a little bit washed down with water. But do not let that change your opinion, most DEFINITILEY order from here. Just be wary on ordering near Christmas! We order every so often as a luscious treat!

This used to be our favourite several years ago but we stopped using it because another, nearer one was more convenient. Recently started using this again and have remembered now why it was our favourite. Top notch food, good price and excellent portion sizes. Absolutely love the Biryani from here.
