The Sweet Escape in Darlington

Ordered well before closing. Been sat waiting for over an hour (had stuff from here before and I know they take a while). Decided to check my email to see if there was an eta as I know they close at 11….email to say order had been cancelled!Waste of time, a couple of other decent dessert places in town that will now get my custom over this place. Shocking.

absolutely shocking. me and my friend (katie clarke) found pieces of plastic in our milkshake. would 1/10 go again xo nevermind gave us a new one would 10/10 go again

Lovely service :) even rang up to ask about an accidental double purchase through the app yet they were honest and gave a refund for the mistaken order. So lovely and the food was lovely. Recommended

Great tasting food just false advertising. I ordered a Ferrero rocher cake (paid extra) and a normal chocolate cake turnt up with a Ferrero Rocher still wrapped and placed next to it.... yeah thanks exactly what I asked and paid extra for.....

Over all poor experience both times previously ordered 2 milkshakes and 2 waffles the text said it should of been delivered with in 40-60 minutes called a hour and half later was advised it would be possibly 30 minutes still didn’t come till 3 hours 45 minutes later the milkshake had melted and the waffle was clay cold, should have known better tried to order again money had been taken waited 45 minutes to get a text saying it had been cancelled. I wouldn’t waste the time or money again for such a poor level of service.

Can’t fault the food, the food is lovely. Although service is shocking, ordered food at 8pm got told it would be an hour, 9pm came still no order so rang the shop back being told it had left the shop to be delivered at 8.50pm still waiting at 10.30pm absolutely shocking service and no people skills over the phone, delivery driver was a nice lady and couldn’t apologise enough, it’s the shop who’s the problem. I have ordered from these before and the service has just got worse over the past year. Will not be ordering anymore.

Can’t fault the food when it turns up. As a repeat customer the customer service has got worse and worse. Ordered today for delivery the same order I always get, for it to be cancelled. When I messaged them they said the minimum spend had gone up. Well change your website to match that then. Then for no phone call to explain etc. Ended up driving out and going to Kaspas food is just as good if not better and I didn’t spend as much as I needed to to get a delivery from here.

Not as much of a fan as I used to be! Every time we order monster it gets replaced and sometimes we didn’t even get anything and there is no option for a refund, the whippy Ice cream that I used to really enjoy and come here for gas now it’s changed to a much more flavourless one. Sometimes we will wait 2 hours or delivery and not even get an apology. Not as pleased as I was when I first started ordering here, and to be honest I find the cheesecakes and waffles really weird tasting and not very tasty.

After reading previous reviews, looked good so gave it a try. Food was late. Waffle was tasty but missing the extra mint chocolate ice cream I had paid for. The milkshake was very thick, not a complaint, but it was missing the strawberries I had paid for as an extra topping. Also didn't have the pic n mix sweets I had paid for. 3 items missing. Disappointing.
