The White Horse in Darlington

The White Horse was a cool and friendly Pub, it was neat and I got a good service when I was there, meals are fairly priced. I was lodging nearby and it was recommended to visit the White House for an evening meal, had one of the house special meals…nicely cooked👍, washed down with my favourite cider. Would definitely visit again😉

My girlfriend did a silly thing 6 years ago here and got herself barred. She went to the pub Friday for a drink with friends only for the manager to humilate her in front of everyone saying you are barred for life. Her friends spent over £100 that day and the manager also barred them to for practically knowing her. Classic example of abuse of power and trying to bring someone down. Talking privately would be better or the fact forgive and forget. Disgusting manager should be sacked

Food was amazing well cooked brill front ov house team very welcoming

Tried the new sizzling plates, belly pork and jerk chicken with rice and chips, side orders of onion rings, corn cobs and side salad. Well presented and quick to table. The mixed vegetables were uninspiring.. And we thought a side order of sauce would have been agreeable. Maybe next time. 50% discount on all mains through email sign up. Ladies serving were friendly thoughtful and polite.

Not happy at all. Been twice now and both times been told kitchen is closed this is before 8pm when the kitchen closes at 9pm 🤷🤷 if you want food go somewhere else as u probably won't get it here

Very rude staff the they served me yesterday without asking for id and then they served me today but asked me for id at the table I explained I left my Id in the hotel next door and they took my drink off me as you could clearly see I was old enough the food was really fatty and had nothing but fat on the sturloin steak

Lovely place with a fantastic atmosphere , it was calm and pleasant to eat a meal in , the beer was great and very reasonable price , staff was lovely and the food was absolutely on point, we all had the hunters chicken platter and the was loads of food and it's was delicious tastey and piping hot . Without hesitation the staff delivered all 4 meals at same time despite 4 separate orders and the condiments wasn't piddly little sachet type nope it was bottles of Heinze and delivered to our table prior to our food , working away from home a lot it was a wonderful experience to find such a chilled out place where they obviously care and and have pride in what they do which compared to the hell hole of a hotel next door made our stay in Darlington bareable, highly recommend

Always drive past but had never been before, we decided to pop in on the off chance of getting a seat and so pleased we did... food was absolutely beautiful with plenty of choice. The Childrens menu also had a good variety for my eldest. Unfortunately my youngest isn't a great eater and tends to just eat bread and butter sandwiches so when we ordered him bread and butter we kind of expected more than 1 slice for the price, so found that disappointing. The pub was nice and clean and staff were friendly. We've visited 3 times now and think we've found our new favourite.

Lovely friendly place this is what we ordered reasonably priced didn't wait long at all n the steak comes out sizzling on it's own little hotplate deffo recommend this place
