Have just returned from our first time visiting Hall Garth Hotel and all I can say is we will return soon. The staff go above and beyond to make sure your stay if the best they can offer. They were amazing with our granddaughter, she loved her night here. Food was lovely, room was perfect. Thank you for all your hospitality, very highly recommend.

Arrived sat afternoon at the hotel.wedding reception taking place so couldn't use the pub.No worries because there's a nice bar in hotel now.the staff on reception were great as we're the bar staff.had a meal in 9the restaurant which was really nice and the waiters looked after us really well room was a bit dated but by no means bad and the bed was really comfortable. All in all we enjoyed our stay and will return.

Came with a friend using a wowcher voucher we bought each other for Christmas. On arriving it looked lovely, staff pleasant however the spa was a massive let down. Very dated and not very clean. The loungers around the pool area were cracked and nipped us when we lay on them. We lay down to relax and felt drips of water land on us…we looked up and realised the WHOLE ceiling above the pool was covered with drops of condensation which were dripping all over. Disgusting. The windows were steamed up and there was no way of getting rid of it, think they need to install a dehumidifier or something. We had afternoon tea in the main hotel which was lovely but the spa was very disappointing. We left shortly after and cancelled our spa treatments as the place just felt dirty. Showers didn’t look very clean either. We drove back home and had a long soak in the bath to feel clean again.

Spa day experience through Buyagift.com as a present off my son. The spa treatment was okay, we had hot stone massage, could have done with a bit more pressure. Unfortunately the whole leisure area was run down and dirty. The pool was filthy with piles of brown dirt in the bottom corners of the pool, the surrounding area was dirty with rust on the doors and windows. Needless to say we didn't venture into the water, sorry we were not allowed to take photos. The lunch at the restaurant was total mayhem, people in wet costumes sitting on indoor seats leaving them wet for the next guest. The staff were run off their feet, food was running out, we were told we could have chef's choice for our sandwiches, we couldn't pick what we wanted off the menu!!

I stayed with 3 friends on and overnight spa package. First impressions was that the hotel looked tired. The reception staff were great and went out of their way to accommodate my requests around my friends birthday. 10/10.The dinner was quite poor as was the service. Breakfast was very good but again the service was poor. The spa area was quite dated but the treatment was one of the best I've had.All in all a bit of a mixed bag. It wouldn't put me off going back but I'd skip dinner.

Friendly, helpful staff. Nice room overlooking the 9 hole golf course, which is in good condition. Menu a bit limited, but quality good. Free parking. Overall, highly recommended.

Our package was labelled as an ‘indulgent spa day’ but it was far from it. Unfortunately it was so disappointing, the spa facilities were dirty and out dated and the massage was rushed and very underwhelming. The atmosphere was not relaxed or ambient, it felt like being in a doctors surgery. There was no one on reception when we arrived no warm welcome the atmosphere felt very awkward. I’m genuinely so gutted as I’d been looking forward to this spa day with my partner for over a year as we’ve had a stressful couple of years as has everybody but when I was there I couldn’t wait to leave.

A lovely two day break. Food excellent. Staff warm and welcoming. The young ones going the extra mile to find gluten free desert.

My better half and I had a spa day and an overnight stay here. We absolutely enjoyed it .Started off with a sauna, pool and a fantastic massage. all Spa staff were brilliant. The hotel reception ladies were very welcoming and explained about meals etc. Into our room and nearly caught out by the floor but its a very very old quirky building and did not bother us in the slightest. Some marks on walls but there is ongoing work. Now what can I say about the evening dinner and breakfasts it is some of the best we have had, very well done chef. The waiting staff were all excellent as in fact all the staff from Spa to hotel who we came into contact with, they are a credit to the hotel. We would have no hesitation in staying here again. Well done to all.
