Called in for a late lunch at the carvery. Didn't have to wait for a seat. Drinks were soon sorted. The smell from the Carvery area was a joy. The system is a tried and tested success. The chefs were ready to carve the meats which looked very appetising. I chose beef and pork. The Yorkshire puddings were massive, they tasted equally as impressive. The vegetables were plentiful and a wide variety were available. The meal itself was delightful. I found the drinks to be rather expensive, especially as they were self service from a machine. We felt the meal was a tad expensive. Very enjoyable though.

Not a terrible experience but not the best. The quality of the Sunday roast we had was mostly really good however there were a couple of the meats that were on the dry side, they also didn't have every single meat that was listed on their menu. We also had to ask for an exchange of cutlery as they hadn't been cleaned properly. The staff were very friendly and helpful but we did feel that a bit more attention to detail could be had.

We went for Breakfast at about 10.00 am on a Thursday morning. Not to busy. Paid for breakfasts and drinks first, then invited to collect food from the serving area. Plenty of choice of your typical breakfast items including Yorkshire puddings. There was also toast and a choice of conserves. The young lady who served us was very friendly and approachable. Well worth the money.

Very disappointed last Sunday. The beef was full of fat and chewy ,sorry but I spat loads out . The roast potatoes had an odd taste almost as if the potatoes had been sat in water for ages before cooking ,the outside was crunchy but the insides very dry and tasteless. A big let down considering we have been a few times and the food has been okay.

Carvery is lovely, desserts were brilliant! Kids enjoyed. Reasonably priced good meal. Our waitress tonight was amazing too very friendly and polite even with the kids. Only reason for 4 stars not 5 is there was some leftover foods peas etc under the table, cutlery could do with an extra wipe after coming out of the dishwasher, water marks make them look unkempt but overall pretty good and would certainly recommend 😀

Lovely atmosphere and a lovely carvery with plenty of choices including plate size. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant kind and helpful in assisting myself and mum (who lives with dementia) to give us a really enjoyable experience. Easy to access and lots of free parking tooDefinitely go again

Unfortunately the restaurant was extremely busy; the vegetables had dried in the pots and no replacements were forthcoming. The meats were good quality, but not as generous as usual. It was a half price offer and was worth that sum. Prefer Toby Wolviston.

I went here on Valentines expecting it to be like the photos show, but it was no where near as nice. There was barely any meat, there was no turkey, no beef, a little bit of pork and a little bit of gammon, another thing was there was barely any veg to eat and there was barely any of veg either. It also took 5+ minutes to get seated when there was at the most 8 tables in. I will never be going here again as this was a disaster and an awful way to spend valentine’s day. a waste of time and a definite waste of money

Went on a Saturday dinner time, without booking. Had the standard plate (plate diameter was about 1.5 bananas). Beef and gammon, a Yorkshire, mash, roasties (beef dripping), carrot, cabbage, dollop of horseradish and gravy. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was great, prompt and professional. The other meats were pork and turkey and they had crackling and cranberry sauce on. Would recommend and look forward to returning in the near future.
