Viraj is , without doubt, the best Indian Restaurant in the area. The food is always beautifully prepared and the flavours are exceptional. Only a small place with limited seating so if you want to experience Viraj, you need to book.

Absolutely divine food here! After trying for hours to find gluten free vegetarian takeaway for my girlfriend I gave these guys a call and they’re happy to discuss gluten free, they really know their stuff. Very polite on the phone, food was hot and delivered in a timely manner. The only thing my girlfriend couldn’t have were the bhajis (which were awesome btw). I had chicken tikka palack (never tried before) and wasn’t disappointed. Will definitely order on their website again as it’s around 10% cheaper than just eat too. 10/10 Give em a ring before you order if you have coeliac requirements.

Lovely! Ordered a mixed Kebab starter to share and all parts were lovely, the onion bhaji was really delicious! It was unlike every bhaji I've had before, I can't put my finger on it, but it was so much nicer than other places I've been. For mains My Wife & I Ordered, Keema Naan, Naga, Lal Maas and special Rice (egg & pea). All of them were very delectable, each with different flavours that packed a punch of flavour. The lamb of the Lal Maas was melt in the mouth soft with minty hints and a tail of spices. The various meats of the Naga were distinct, cooked to perfection, soft and Juicy. Rice's and naans were great as well. Had plenty to take home by then end. The staff were very nice and helped with anything we needed, as well as catered to my nut allergy. My Wife also appreciated the plant decoration as well as the staffs' knowledgeableness about them :)Dietary restrictions: Catered very well to my Nut allergy

Was expecting much more as it was awarded No1 on TripAdvisor. Not much room and we were in a corner next to the toilet, and when one wanted to use the toilet all 4 of us had to move and table moved to allow exit..(2 guys of average build and wife's of petite size) Food was lovely and good value and portions on the larger size, when they came, only half a dozen people in whilst we were there yet waited at least 45 minutes from poppadoms to mains. (No starters ordered) heard the bell on many occasions but must of been for delivery orders? Venue just lacks atmosphere and space.

Wow, what a great Indian restaurant. Going home Darlington is en route so called in the town to come for a curry, this place had popped up on Google maps. From the moment we arrived we were treated with kindness and respect. The lady that was serving us was so kind and polite. Our food was amazing, I even had a curry that had been taken off the menu, they were happy to make it for me. Service second to none. Very reasonably priced as well. We would literally come up from Lincoln to come here just for this. Hands down recommend.

First of all the woman (didn’t catch her name) who was working was so lovely and warm and very attentive! The food was amazing, tasted lovely and fresh too! We’re not from the area but if we are ever near again we will definitely go back to this place!

Wow an absolute gem of a find, the food here is exceptional great tasting food made with love. Its set in a nice intimate modern design that brings the romance of India out of us. The staff are amazing the owner Joynul is a charm. Really lovely place highly recommend for a lovely evening authentic indian meal.

We visited this restaurant today after a recommendation and can safely say it is some of the best Indian food I have ever had. The staff were very attentive and welcoming making sure we had everything we needed. The food was outstanding and bursting with flavour and the while family thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The portion size was surprisingly large and the cost was easy on the wallet. If you're in the market for a decent feed, look on further.

A nice little place in Darlington with good parking. The staff were very helpful at all times. The menu has many different choices. The prices for a two course meal for two people was around ÂŁ36.00 with soft drinks, I thought the drinks were a bit expensive. The starters came well presented and were tasty, my main course was tandoori chicken which came out on a hot skillet, it looked nice but I had sides to add to my meal, I would have preferred if a plate could be offered to put everything on. The chicken was full of flavor but a little dry. I asked for some salt and was offered little sachets which was poor service. At the end of the meal no hot towels which would of been nice. I will visit again.
