We visited The Angel View Inn last night to attend a 60th birthday party. I have to say we were very impressed with the function room and the staff. Nothing was a bother for them and the food was excellent. I would definitely consider this venue if we plan a function in the future.

Went here for my cousins 18th birthday. The whole nights conversation was taken over by how poor the service was. We ordered a week in advance, to be told on the night that some meals we had ordered were unavailable. My cousins who's birthday it was ate last. He had ordered a pizza, a waitress came in to say that they have been told that were advised earlier that they had stopped doing pizzas. A bit later on another waitress told us the reason that they weren't doing pizzas was because they had run out of dough!!!Could not fault front of house staff they were very obliging. Very poor management however, on a night where 2 x 18 year old parties and a wedding were occurring- they had 1 person behind the bar. We were also informed that for these three events they had two chefs on.Went here a couple of years ago and couldn't fault it. Now however, the new management clearly don't have things under control. Will never return

We eat here often and the food is exceptional! Rediculously cheap too.The staff cannot do enough for you either,We've also stayed here and the breakfast is awesome. Again, a rediculously reasonable price including a bottle of really nice bubbly...This place definitely gives a lot of other local eateries an absolute run for their money.. There's just no comparison locally. I've lived in low fell all my life. We'll done to you all!Keep it up! I absolutely love this relaxed friendly atmosphere with beautiful views too.

I attended a family function here. All meals were pre-booked however, food orders were still not right and all food was either cold or overcooked after an extremely long wait. We preordered our meals a week before to help them prepare for a large group booking, to be told on the night that some of the meals were unavailable. The hotel was clearly understaffed, who were unable to oblige with our booking. This tainted our evening, as it became the main topic of conversation. I felt sorry for the waitress who brought our food out, as she was put in the firing line with our complaints, when in reality this was down to very poor management. I will be not be returning in future.

They ruined my nephew's 18th birthday waited over 3 hours for food and another hour to sort our complaint. No manager available despite having 3 functions on and insufficient staff in kitchen and bar. Mistake after mistake with food cooked wrong, not done or wrong food. Kids went home hungry to have toast or cereals as their food was horrible and the birthday boy and his cousin didn't get what they ordered they waited 2 hours to tell them they hadn't done their food only upon serving everyone else's food. It took them another hour to get their food by which time his cousin was feeling sick from hunger and her food inedible. Too many mistakes to list. Felt sorry for the waitresses as they came out with mistake after mistake and did their best. Didn't need the stroppy blonde with glasses interrupting our complaint

Had a lovely sunday lunch here service was fantastic, considering there were 12 of us and our group included a mix of gluten-free, lactose free, vegetarian and a fussy 14 year old. The Sunday menu is small if you're not having the carvery, but there is still more than enough choice there is a separate gluten-free menu. The portions are very generous, and the carvery looked amazing. I opted for the steak; it was cooked perfectly and came with lovely homemade chunky chips. There were no complaints from any of us, and we all left stuffed. Must say a big thank you to Michelle for her brilliant, helpful, friendly service made our visit even better. Thank you 🙂
