Closed to public on Tuesdays. Can't buy coffee or use toilets, simply turned away. Glad to blacklist this cafe, definitely not getting my money in future.

Big fan of this place. 2nd visit and didn't disappoint. First time very quiet and enjoyed the food and service. Walked in yesterday half term so packed. Same lovely food and service. Soups and sandwiches very nice, fresh and great quality. Staff were stretched so had to clear own table before sitting down but was quickly thanked for doing so and table was then quickly cleaned. Highly recommend when visiting baltic

Rubbish coffee - acrid and burnt tasting. Shame coffee doesn’t do the setting justice. Pink st Coffee ten times better coffee!

An awesome place to dine in, and an amazing view over the bridge and the river. Definitely recommended!

Most disappointing. Ordered latte (£2.75) & organic teacake (£3.75) Decent coffee arrived. Waited 10mins for teacake which did not arrive. Got up & enquired, apologies given & 5 mins later when my coffee was finished tea cake arrived. It was over toasted & broke into pieces as I buttered it. Despite the jam it was dry & barely edible. Not to be repeated.

Lovely view over the Tyne and newcastle skyline, decent beverages and good food

Gallery cafes are often bizarrely overpriced, surly-staffed, and generally unimpressive in the taste dept. This one is different! Great food at reasonable prices, in a vibrant, relaxed venue. With friendly staff 😊

Nice laid back venue with a good choice of food and drinks at the quay side setting. Great choice in music as well.

I suppose there wasn't actually anything wrong with the food as such, however the 'ham and mature cheese sandwich with mustard mayonnaise' was nothing more than a ham bun with what appeared to be 2 Dairlylea cheese slices in it. Mayonnaise had a hint of mustard. The salad garnish was clearly some supermarket bistro-style salad dumped on the side of the plate. I'd be embarrassed to charge £5.50 for it, but they do.

Lovely food, perfect for a quick bite to eat or a great after you've visited you gallery.
