Dobbies Garden Centre Restaurant in Gateshead

Lovely place to find indoor and outdoor plants.. also has a lovely cafe.

For the second time visited Dobbies to enquire about artificial grass. Site looked abandoned, noone in sight. Queues to pay for other item bought were ridiculous with cashiers engaged on what seemed to be credit purchases and refunds which should have been dealt with elsewhere.

Quiet in restaurant at 11am. Became busy just after for lunch menu. Signs up stating limited choice due to problems with deliveries. Staff friendly and welcoming

One of the better garden centres. Has a good range of plants and gardening equipment. Benefits from an in-store Sainsbury's Local as well as other businesses selling hot tubs and artificial grass. There is also an on site hand car wash.

5 star service by a lady called Sandra...could not have been more helpful when we were looking to buy lanterns. Extremely pleasant and a credit to your store!!

I booked the afternoon tea for me and my mother in law today for her birthday. On arriving I was told there was no booking made for today. I showed the staff my confirmation email, only for the staff to realise that I had booked it in a branch of Dobbies in a village in Cornwall … and we live in Gateshead! The staff were so good about this and even though they did not have the usual afternoon tea items in that are specifically made, they made us a wonderful array of treats, free of charge , and then booked us in again in the proper location. Colin you were an absolute gentleman and I am so grateful that my mother in laws treat wasn’t ruined. Fantastic customer service even though it was my fault

Just back from Dobbies Birtley, and find the new cafe prices it bit of a shock.Can you believe a cheese and tomato baqete is now £6.50.Work it out yourself, even at Retail food prices,what was on the plate would cost no more than 75p.Shocking, not what I expect from Dobbies

Nice range of stuff but some things are quite over priced/expensive. Cafe okay. Staff pleasant. Parking good.

Haven't been here for a while and popped in for lunch. Food was fine and the place has really changed with a mini food shop, better quality gifts and clothing, along with gardening items, pet items etc.

Afternoon tea was amazing. Very impressed indeed. Really good value. Luxury tea was £11 and the standard was £8.50. Couldn't complain about the staff they were fab.
