I visited this place in 2020 and instantly loved it. Was looking for a venue for my wedding day and this place caught eye. They where going to incorporate the bus into the wedding which I thought was a fab idea. Had food here and it was amazing. Very nice staff and very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately my wedding didn't go ahead here due to covid and due to rivers hotel closing I would have love it to NEVER got the chance to stay at hotel but from what I saw when shown around the rooms looked stunning and is very very clean hotel and everyone was so nice and due to rivers hotel I hope it opens up again and picks its self back up. Really lovely hotel with stunning views.. Good luck RIVERS hotel

Only visited the restaurant, which used to be wonderful. Unfortunately the quality has decreased significantly since our last visit. There was only one or two members of staff around, our food wasn't as good and some food we had to have reheated by the kitchen. Despite this, the place is clean and the staff that were there were approachable and friendly.

Lovely modern hotel. Rooms looked over the Tyne lovely view. Shower room out of this world. Very clean. Helpful staff. American Diner style restaurant was very good good food at good prices. Will call again.

Very reasonably priced American Diner style menu. Hotel set on the Tyne with a great outdoor area c/w kids playground making it perfect for family meals out on sunny days.Even indoors the kids are catered for with books, colouring in, etc. Staff very friendly.

Started off very well lovely staff esp Andrew and good food. Early hours sunday morning huge disturbance from room along and no intervention despite building being staffed overnight. Duration off disturbance lasted just over one hour. Breakfast on day off departure came lukewarm and with cold toast . Wait for service and food delivery totalled approx one hour. I feel it depends on the number off staff on duty as the previous 3 mealtimes were perfect .

The menu was fantastic - it was hard to choose what to have! Staff were lovely and attentive. Food was fab! Great prices! I went for The Plain Jane Burger with mac and cheese topping π Will be returning 100%!

Attended an adoption party/celebration last week. We had hired the static bus for the occasion. The pre ordered food was really good and the staff were extremely pleasant and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Wonderful ambiance and great location by the river. All the kids thoroughly enjoyed it.

We had a very enjoyable stay May bank holiday weekend. Our room was very nice with a good view of the river. Beds π comfortable and you have a πΊ on the wall. Bathroom good size with a walk in shower πΏ. The Diner and bar on ground floor is where you can have breakfast π³ and American style food ππππ. Bev on reception was great, she is a credit to the Rivers. Thank you for making our stay memorable πππππ

Great hotel in a lovely location. We loved this hotel right on the banks of the river Tyne. The prices were down to earth and very good value. The room we had was comfortable and easily accessible by lift. The hotel is in a slightly strange location - you have to go through a trading estate to reach it. But it's just great - could do with a bit more signage. It did take us a while to find it on our arrival, but only the first time! They also have a wonderful US style diner. The diner itself is the real 1960s US of A McCoy, with a wide range of American style meals at great prices, including breakfast. It is open all day until 8pm, and hotel guests often eat there. The staff are very helpful, and willing to go the second mile for you.The hotel helps to train young people on the autistic spectrum in the hotel industry, and then helps them to get a job, too.Great great place. You want a wonderful place to stay in Gateshead at a great price? This is it!

Booked for 20 people to celebrate an 89th birthday which happened to fall on world cup semi finals night, however the service was still good even though it was very busy. The staff were so attentive & they couldn't do enough to make sure everyone was having a good night. The food as usual was beautiful & plentiful for the prices they charge. Would highly recommend a visit.
