Gills Fisheries in Gateshead

This place is very hit and miss recently. The chips can either be great or very undercooked. The garlic sauce is trash, but their selection of curry sauce was actually really good.Can't comment on the pizza but they looked terrible when I seen them being made

Chips old n dry fish beta if u wait 4 a fresh one staff polite tho.

Food was awful... had chips with Kebab meat & sauce The chips weren't cooked properly, the Kebab was dry, the Kebab meat had been sat for a while had no taste & a drop of sauce. The lack of sauce was disappointing

I have always used Gills for a long time now . And the food has always been fine .But tonight I could not believe my order . I ordered 2 chip butty’s and a sausage. Also a meat patty. However nearly all of the chips were rotten and this put us off the whole meal all together . It was a total waste of money . I don’t know what happened with them tonight

DO NOT EAT FROM HERE!! Bought a fish and chips and got home, opened the paper and there was the POWERFUL smell of rotten fish. Opened the fish up with my fork and was yellow slimy and stank to high heaven so didnt even risk touching it as bacteria was clearly present, whole meal went straight in the bin. Clearly fish had not been bought fresh or hadnt been defrosted properly if flash frozen. Will be taking my buisiness elsewhere as i dont fancy being bedridden for a week next time. Truly shocking!!!

First class service excellent food but portions enormous!! Always piping hot even with delivery

Good food, and always a fast delivery. Would 100% recommend a stop off if your in the area, 5 star service, the little ones loved it as well. Will definitely be ordering again, Cannot complain at the price either. Cheap as chips.

Came in at lunchtime and ordered 3 things, got home and things were missing from my order so has to go back, got in the car and double checked and again, things missing. Having to go back 2 times for a very small order isn't very good. Food was cold by the time we were able to eat it so it went into the bin.

Great fish and chips, the biggest fish in Washington, kebabs, sausages, a good mixture of meals in a very short time. If I want anything like that it's my favourite one to go to in Washington.

Nice fish and chips. Nice service. Very good prices. I've eaten here a few times and would go back.
