Lintzford Garden Centre in Gateshead

Really good bacon and egg sandwich. Chips and toasty first class. Nice hot coffee as opposed to Luke warm that some other places serve. Good selection of cream cakes also.

Absolutely gorgeous garden centre, I myself have been many times but took my daughter for the first time today, I'm sure she will be back x

Visited on Wednesday, chef couldn't have been more helpful. Sorted me with a vegan gluten free option, I have food intolerances too and he went out of his way to provide me with lunch. Thanks also to Brenda and the rest of the team, extremely pleasant and helpful. Enjoyed a lovely lunch and shopping for plants.

Hadn't been for some time. Came with daughter for coffee etc - how nice to be welcomed & treated courtiously, even offered crayons & paper for grand daughter - previously felt we were intruding & causing extra work!!! New staff, clearly.Coffee & food was enjoyable, nothing fancy but believe things are changing.As for the garden centre? It's a garden centre - bit pricey but aren't they all.Maybe come back to try their offer for afternoon tea 🎂

Enjoyed a lovely Sunday roast here -great service,friendly staff and a lovely meal too !The dinner itself was substantial enough ,was presented well and more importantly tasted good !Had a cheeky latte after -one tge the nicest I've tried .

Great selection of plants. Can be a little chaotic taking a trolley into the garden centre. With hoses and plant trolleys in aisles but it is a working centre...

The food has definitely improved, we did have quite a long wait though even for our tea and coffee which was brought out at the same time as our meal. It was pretty busy though as it was lunch time. But perhaps allowing customers to take their drinks and biscuits etc to the table while they wait for food would improve the mood while waiting. The only downside I have noticed other than the downside was the lack of sneeze guards on the food on the counter. People were touching and handling food and coughing nearby which can't be healthy without sneeze guards. Otherwise the place has improved quite considerably lately.

Had fish and chips for lunch today, absolutely delicious. In the past their food left a lot to be desired, however they have a new chef who is second to none. I will most definitely be back and recommending the food to friends and family.

Cute garden center, very Tory but nice to have a mooch around after a walk along the derwent. The house plant section keeps getting larger and better, but I think the more the merrier! Loads if beautiful outdoor plants as well, and great pet sections. There is also a cute cafe (have never eaten there though). The staff are really lovely and helpful also, and the building is actually really pretty.

Very enjoyable garden centre in a rural setting. Large indoor area with cafe. Excellent outdoor area offering a wide range of plants, shrubs, garden accessories and equipment. Some quality and competetively priced items for sale. Definite worth a visit.
