Very good and attentive service, and while the food was decent it was nothing exceptional. Big let down for me was the lack of vegetarian options. We visited on a Sunday so it may be better during the week, but having 1 option of nut roast (hello 1970's) just doesn't cut the mustard. If the veg options were better I would probably go back, as it is I won't though.

Lovely welcome, friendly staff, super decor and lovely food. Enjoyed my visit for a weekday lunch. Was here with a friend. The menu offers a good variation. We chose seabass, new potatoes and trimmings, my friend said it was gorgeous. As you can see, I chose the scotch eggs (haggis style), cooked to perfection and ordered a side salad. Although a starter, it was enough. Nice deserts on offer. There are a few seating areas inside to choose from, it's so cosy and traditional in the restaurant area on the sunny side. Outside has sitting areas too, lovely as it was a beautiful day. A covered area is available too incase its colder. At the back, it overlooks countryside and fields of horses, so nice views.I would advise you book for a table at the weekend as it does get busy. Very popular. !!! Will be back soon.

Had dinner here one Friday night with the girls. The sitting is beautiful with the decorations which would make for some great photos. The staff were all super friendly although there was a mix up with the drinks order. Our food order was taken an hour after sitting down and we didn't get our food until 20.45 even though we sat down at 7.20pm. The staff did apologise about the wait and said they were busy which was fine as we were chatting but we ended up being the last ones in there. The food was amazing although the chips could've been a bit fluffier in the middle. This hasn't put me off attending again.

Best Sunday lunch we've ever had. Beef was cooked to perfection, and all the veg was lovely. The staff here are so nice too, always go the extra mile to make sure you're happy. Couldn't recommended highly enough!!

Really shocking, we were seated almost straight away, however waited 10 minutes with absolutely no acknowledgement from the waitresses despite them going to nearby tables and having eye contact with us. We didn't even get to order drinks. As we walked out we went past the man who seated us (I assume he is the manager because he mentioned about asking for the menu to be updated on their website) and he never asked what was wrong or acknowledged us at all.Very glad to say that we went somewhere that had a much better menu and fantastic service so they did us a favour!

For the proce of the Sunday lunch I would expect a lot more.Leg of Lamb, was tough, like a rubber boot. The roast potatoes had been warmed through in a microwave, could tell by the taste. The Yorkshire pudding was good. The rest of the beg was decent. And their craft beer was tasty.Service was good as could be expected for Sunday lunch so credit to the waiting staff. We will come back to try the rest of them menu. And hopefully all will be redeemed

Called in for lunch on a Friday, loads of seating available, loads of choice on the menu, great service and high quality napkins!

Staff are very welcoming and pleasant. Pub itself is nicely decorated and super cosy. Food was fantastic, the olive bloomer with camembert is a perfect sharing starter but don't expect to finish a main course too! Great cocktails and everything at a respectable price.

Absolutely shocking.Birthday celebrations ruined by bad management and lack of organisation. We were early and told things were running late because a party of 21were late.We were pushed down the running order and our very poor food order arrived at 9.00pm instead of 7.30.Food totally underwhelming with cold vegetables and cold, overcooked chips.Basically £12 for a bit of fish. The waitress was a lovely young girl and we had nothing but sympathy fir her, but the management thought our grievances were of no consequence.Absolutely appallingThis is the second visit with major issues. We wanted to give a second chance.2/10 at best.

Visited the Millhouse on Friday for lunch with my mum & uncle for the first time. We rocked up without a booking which was fine, it just meant we had to order ourselves at the bar (no problem). Food arrived really fast even though it was quite busy for an early afternoon and the portions were MASSIVE! Which I thoroughly enjoyed! But even for me, considering I have a big appetite, I think portion sizes should be considered slightly as there was so much wasted at the end purely due to being stuffed!took a while for the tables to be cleared but I think that was due to staffing levels. The only reason for 4 stars is just we heard one member of staff really rant on aggressively about something which made us uncomfortable but other than that… will definitely be returning!!
