Petite Delice in Gateshead

An Absolute disgrace, I ordered a baguette with supposedly a frankfurter sausage with mustard and cheese, £5.90 I paid, I expected a full frankfurter sausage for that price, what did I end up with,, basically a cheese and mustard baguette, good god he couldn’t have sliced the sausage any damn thinner, a total rip off and I would have had very strong words had it it not been for my partner asking me not to complain or say anything.I went inside to pay the bill and he said “ oh that was quick” I replied , “ that’s because there was hardly any frankfurter in it,,,, he said nothing,, I won’t be back.

Disappointed with today's visit. Assistant not friendly. Tea in pot wasn't as hot as it could or should have been. Fruit scones crumbled when cut in half making it impossible to spread the ONE small portion of butter which was hard. Jam portion for two was more like a portion for one. The assistant was surly when we requested more butter & a pot of hot water. The bacon baguette was the one saving grace. It's a lovely setting which we've visited a few times previously but will give it a miss next time.

Wow. A very big lovely chocolate muffin and an americano coffee. £3.90. Great value, lovely staff. They do savory and sweet things. I will be back.

Nice and simple breakfast

Stopped in for a quick cup of coffee and a cup of tea. Got a piece of shortbread too. Tea was nice and the coffee tasted great. Service was spot on and the place was relaxing and clean. Would go back. Recommended.

Excellent friendly service with Delicious food 😋

Used to be brilliant customer service and food is good. I had all day breakfast, which I'm always wary of when it comes to the fried egg. The egg was perfect. Soft yolk but solid white LUSH.Update. Went today and I'd say be very specific when ordering. I asked for a water and I got given tap water for £0.95! I then explained my bf wanted bottled water and he said "i heard him say tap" certainly did not. Then I asked if the Mokka Delice had coffee in - as it should - and I was told yes. The menu states it's made with Double espresso and chocolate syrup. It definitely did not. It was a hot chocolate made with powder. I know this as the powder was still clumped at the bottom.

Asked for a double bacon sandwich got a single bacon baguette, due to being limited which wasn't told when food was ordered and paid for. Fridge wasn't even on so all the drinks were warm. Wouldn't come here again

Pleasant Spot to stop for refreshments, Baguette’s were very nice, A pity one of the cups was stained but staff quickly changed it without problems. Would go again
