Ping On Chop Suey House in Gateshead

I always love the Chinese chips from here oh my days they are the best. Don't eat meat so I can't comment on that. But what I do get I can not fault. One thing I will say is you can not get traditional Chinese chips from anywhere and this is the only place i know that does do them.

Used to be best Chinese around.. ordered chicken curry . Definitly did not taste like chicken , was to slimy and soft.. definitly not be having anymore Chinese unless I saw what actually went into it

Can't fault the food. Hot as always. Flavours just burst into your mouth. Sweet and sour Hong Kong style is the best by far from any other take aways. My only issue is that delivery is always 45mins to an hour. They obviously always busy. Its a good thing. Then you know food is top notch. I'm just too greedy to wait at times

My favourite Chinese ever! They’ve never let me down once. Delicious, hot and always on time or early. Won’t go anywhere else.

Best Chinese takeaway in Gateshead without a doubt, better than most in Newcastle too even (excluding Stowell Street restaurants obviously)First discovered when I moved into a flat a few doors down 14 years ago with my then Fiancé, who loved their food also, saying their dishes are the most Authentic tasting and closest to true Chinese style of cooking she had ever tasted outside of South East Asia...being Taiwanese and her Grandparents Chinese, she knows better than us! In fact, despite having split up over a decade ago we still talk regularly and she still claims that even now, having lived and travelled the width and breath of Europe over the last 10 years and UK 6yrs prior to that, she has yet to experience anything closer to the flavours she grew up with!Above all, I will highly recommend schezwan chicken (ask for crispy chicken) is the best I've ever tasted.

I haven't been to this takeaway for several years as I've moved. When I did use it, it was the best Chinese takeaway I have ever come across and I've lived all over the UK in many homes. The staff were very friendly and once they get to know you they put your order up quickly as they remember what you normally order.

Fried rice came in a plastic bag like one big bowl of mush. first time I've ever tried the place I don't think I will ever try it again an absolute waste of money even the dog wouldn't eat it.

Normally on time. Good food. However today it's 54mins late and counting. I'm starving and don't want to put anything in incase it does eventually arrive and I have to waste one of them. I ordered it at 20.40, it is now 22.37. They said it would arrive between 45-60 mins. I've had no calls back reporting any delays or a loss of directions.Edit: food just arrived after I sent this review at 22.44 was given no explanation or a "Sorry I'm late."
