The place to go for the perfect Sunday treat.Great staff, delicious food, unreservedly recommended.

Seems very popular, was not aware there was a sit in cafe serving all sorts. Went there specially for their cream cakes, which are so popular i couldnt get the one i really wanted but settle on a few others which were nice, some a little too sweet for my pallette.

Went with husband and grandson to Riverview Bakery today and had the best strawberry tart me and hubby have ever tasted, grandson has a piece of berry cheesecake was equally delicious. Very busy but lucky enough to get a table inside. Great atmosphere and staff very attentive and helpful.

Went with a friend to have lunch. Very nice quiche with lovely salad & new potatoes. Service was prompt despite being rather busy. Bought a selection of cakes to take away - they were super - we'll definitely be back

This is the best cafe in the North East! The baked goods are second to none with a selection of delicious pies and pasties. The cakes and pastries are wonderful - particular favourites are the rhubarb cheesecake and giant custard slice. It’s busy but usually there is a table especially with the outside seating. You can pop in for some freshly baked bread, takeaway a mince pie, stay longer for a Sunday roast, or linger over coffee and cake. I don’t yet have pics of the cakes and pastries because they disappear too fast!

Lovely place for lunch. Quite busy but service was great - fast and the staff were very polite and courteous. Food was very nice. Extremely good value for money. Cake was delicious. Would definitely recommend 👌

Amazing food, amazing staff, amazing prices and amazing venue especially with outdoor seating due to how busy it is but it just proves how unreal it is !

Nice homemade cakes with a large choice, the shop looks really nice and cosy. They have outside seating in the back of the shop and by the river. I had latte several times here i almost enjoyed it every time. There is a carpark just behind the shop. This place is perfect for a relaxing breakfast or for a quick bite!

Good cafe. Large selection of cakes although not all are homemade and some are a little bit sickly. The cheese and onion pasties are very nice too.

Such a lovely place to catch up with friends. Great food and great coffee too and a wide range of foods available for eat in or take away. Plenty of pies and pastries to take away and if you fancy a cake, well, it'll be difficult to decide because there are so many to choose from! Would definitely recommend you visit and even take a walk in the nearby Milkburn Woods and make a morning/afternoon of it! :)
