Rose and Crown in Gateshead

A great proper pub who caters to their clientele. Sports lovers won't be disappointed, an eclectic rather fab range of music being played. The regulars were very friendly, atmosphere was buzzing,and the beer was cold. Very reasonably priced. I'll visit again when I'm back in Newcastle

I had a lovely pint of John Smiths on Armed Forces Day & i didnt even see myself on the telly Cos they didnt have it on Even tho they were supposed to According to the brewery

What an amazing time we had at the pub both nyt the people were so welcoming on our visit and bar staff were lovely especially our chris baby shark lol we shall defi etly be back in september 😁

I was just in this pub and it was 10.16pm when I entered. There were about 4 people drinking at the bar and 8 to 10 other customers drinking at tables. It was a good atmosphere but I was told by the male bar person that he had just closed and wasn't serving. I was mortified. Why are they closing up at 10.15pm when website says 11pm ? I only wanted a dark fruits cider and would have gone, totally appalling.

Great atmosphere. Was really busy and the drink was a decent price too. Always go here on visits to Newcastle

This is everything you want from a bar. As central as you can get in Newcastle city centre , very cheap drinks compared to most , great vibes , karaoke, good music , sports on the tvs , loads of characters and everyone with a smile on their face including all the staff. Will be back when we’re in Newcastle again . Thank you

People reckon there's a trek to the loos at Spoons. Spoons has nothing on this place. Great little bar, clean and decent prices.

Always a good bar to visit watch out gor future events karaoke 🎤 sat night always popular

Proper bar, cheap drinks, friendly, great tunes until the karaoke started. Pint here about half price of trendy bars nearby. I know where my business would go! Revisited in Feb 22, still same.
