What a lovely quirky coffee shop within a great gift shop. Some fabulous and well priced jewelry are and home items g really tempting as you enjoy your drink. I had the feta and roast pepper quiche with a latte both absolutely delicious. Thoroughly recommend you drop in if you are in the area and be prepared to buy gifts as you won't resist

Me my mam and sister visited the side gate gallery after dropping off the car for a vallet in Sunniside, Opened at 11.0am ,we were first in, lovely quirky place, also with a beautiful shop of nic nacs, homeware and clothes, we went straight to the restaurant, food was well presented, the lady and guy who's place it was were lovely, I had a lovely bacon sandwich, in a seeded brown bun, my sister had home made vegetables soup, she said it was delicious, my mam had fruit loaf toasted, huge pot of tea for two, lovely , coffee for sis.All in all lovely morning , I would recommend this place for all to visit, absolutely fabulous 💓 .

A wonderful little shop/coffee room with things out of the ordinary. From ladies clothing, trinkets jewellery and pictures. And lovely food.

Just had lovely cuppa+pot of tea.what a lovely little shop with lovely staff their lemon meringue pie was gorgeous.sitting out front in the sun ...lovely

I've been here quite a lot over the past few years. Really enjoy the cafe, they always serve well presented and very very tasty food ... well toasted panini sandwiches because that's all I ever get!! Don't get here often enough but when I do I'm always more than happy with the food and service.

Live locally so have visited a good few times. Love the atmosphere, very homely, very welcoming, very comfy. Always have a good little range of sandwiches, soup etc and lovely cakes!! Coffee is good, just a great place to chat and chill. Plus the shop side of the gallery sells loads of interesting trinkets, clothes, etc...

Great sandwiches and tea. They were absolutely wonderful with children and couldn't have done more to make us comfortable. The setting is really relaxed and there are loads of interesting and attractive things in their shops

A very friendly tea room with a good variety of dishes to choose from. Half a sandwich and drink is value for money for pensioners. Highly recommended.

Very pleasant staff and dog friendly. I only had a coffee which was nice. The shop had very pretty costume jewellery....good for gifts.

There's a nice choice of sandwiches and cakes. The coffee is nice and strong. Staff very pleasant. It's popular and quite small but we've usually managed to squeeze in !
