Six in Gateshead

Perfect place to celebrate my birthday. Food was excellent, fresh and tasty. Great service and amazing view too.

Amazing choices for vegans and meat esters alike.Last night I went to SIX at BALTIC.The very small menu had 2 vegan starters, 2 vegan mains & an amazing vegan dessert + they sent me the birthday truffles as a surprise. As the truffles where impromptu, I checked they where vegan and they most certainly where.Everything was 10/10, delicious, pretty & amazing service! They also had vegan wine/cocktails when I checked with the team.I would highly recommend it to all vegans in Newcastle/Gateshead 🤤

Went with friends for a relaxed lunch. Food was very good and the views of Newcastle are dtunning. The service was also excellent so overall a very good experience.

If you're trying to impress your date and you don't mind a hangover from your purse/ wallet then go here. The staff are attentive and the menu has that premium feel to it. If you're just fancying a casual afternoon drink with a view... you'll pay the same prices, and the view on the none Tyne side (where we were sat, despite it not being busy) are not that special.

Today we had afternoon tea for my sisters baby shower, we had the private room and there were 24 of us in total. Everything was amazing from start to finish. Roy was so helpful and patient in helping me to organise it all and on the day the staff were incredible too, extremely helpful and attentive. Food was lovely and the views out of this world. Thank you so much.

Evening meal for wedding anniversary in December. Great food, manager explained all gluten free options to me. Serivce excellent and staff attentive but not over bearing. Well done everyone.

Booked afternoon tea as a birthday treat for my mum and I. Arrived early and were taken to our table. One of us have diet restrictions and this was catered for. The manager came to the table to go through menu prior to us eating. Fantastic afternoon tea, everything was fabulous and the staff were amazing. Will visit again and would highly recommend. Six is honestly one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. The waiters are friendly and always there to help and the food is stunning. The layout of the restaurant is also impressive as it provides a direct view into the kitchen where you can see your meal being prepared. The only downside to this restaurant is the price although as mentioned earlier the food is amazing and I believe it warrants the price. You pay for what you get and here you get a stunning service and delicious food.

Fabulous meal with the family. Great food in a nice relaxed atmosphere. The friendly staff were very helpful and accomodating. I would recommend this place. The restaurant with a view !Been here on several occasions, for meals in the restaurant, afternoon tea and drinks.Great views of the Sage and bridges along the River Tyne from the seating area with sofas.Whether you go for the taster menu, meal deals or specials you will enjoy the experience.If you are in a budget, go for the early evening meal deal.Failing that, just enjoy a drink or afternoon tea with a view.Enjoy your visit.
