Subway in Gateshead

I came in around 18:30 just to buy some cookies and the young lady who served me was so polite and displayed great service, really left with a smile!! Cookies were so yum too

I came in at lunch time for 5+ subway sandwiches. It was super busy! I was buying for my kids (I have 8 of them!) lol. We ordered so many sandwiches!! It was a special occasion for my autistic son. The lady behind the counter was lovely and had no issues with our millions of sandwiches! We have very picky kids and needed separate sauces and separate salads, the blonde lady was happy to help.All the kids were happy with their sandwiches.

Only 1 staff member on stood over 20 mins to be served staff not very friendly also very expensive for what you get

Normally love a subway sarnie but today's visit not so good :( soft drinks dispenser not working, and seemingly no effort to sort this for customers. Food was over-priced.

Whoever the guy was today needs to see some 5 star reviews because the sheer entitlement of the people in front of me in line even made me feel horrible. I feel so sorry for him having to put up with customers like that, so have a five star review to make your day!

Always a pleasure with Subway. I like how filling most of their meals are. So a day never passes by without me stopping by for some delicious subway.

The toilet is always out of order in this place, get it fixed please, 3 times now... Or is it a storeroom mmmm??Sandwiches always taste better when you can wee afterwards..! 😜

I ordered via deliveroo tonight from this franchise and the product I received was disappointing and inedible. The salad was soggy, soft and quite frankly a starved rabbit would have rejected to eat the salad served. I had to return the takeaway order to the store.The assistant denied making the item stating he was upstairs whilst it was prepared, I can quite believe this to be true and a customer nipped in and made it for him.I was refused a refund however offered another salad. I did point out that the salad should have been to high standard to begin with and I should not have had to come down to store to return the order placed. Another customer came into store I did not deter him from any purchase and therefore assistant was in contact with the manager via text who confirmed I was unable to gain a refund. Whilst the other customer was placing his order the server was questioned on his hygiene as he was reusing gloves after using a phone to prepare his meal. Yes I deviated from my review but I won't be returning to the store for food but will be seeing the manager to discuss this matter.

I'm not usually critical, but this subway in particular has dropped the ball in comparison to others.I ordered a meatball marinara, and it came lightly filled with burned meatballs - to the point where some meatballs were actually crusty and hard. It's the first time I've never finished a subway. Heartbreaking honestly.The shop floor was also a bit messy at the time I went in. One quick sweep would've sorted it.Hopefully this is just an off day for them. These issues are very fixable, and I will update my review if the standards are changed next time I visit.

It's nice to sit and watch the world go by. Our salad was very filling and tasty. The tables don't seem to get cleaned very often as whenever I go in the tables are sometimes covered in food, drink, crumbs or whatever from the previous users. Other than that it's OK. The smells are always nice there from the Italian bread
