Gateshead Tesco’s Cafe is very handy whilst you’re out shopping. The menu has quite a wide range, and the goats cheese and red onion chutney toastie was lovely. Service was quick; staff friendly, and the surroundings pleasant. Prices are reasonable, but I would have liked a side salad with my toastie.

Paid £4 for a cheese and onion chutney sourdough bread toastie and this is what they gave me! Didn’t bother using sourdough bread and was incredibly soggy!

It’s okay and good for what you get but could have better food options

I used to come here often for the vegetarian breakfast and sadly it's been taken off the menu for vegan breakfast. Not everyone wants avocado and spinach and multiseed bread. I am disappointed as I loved the vegetarian breakfast. I refuse to pay extra money to make up my own breakfast option. I won't be coming back for food ever again.

I bought a large coffee at the counter and the 2 ladies at the counter noticed that I couldn't hold my coffee, one of the servers brought it to my table, his name was Alan.

The cafe at Tesco, Trinity Square is normally quite full so, able to enjoy a coffee after shopping early. Their is much better since it changed from Costa Coffee (I like some coffee with my foam)It is a very nice cafe and the food and drink is a reasonable price.
