The Regent in Gateshead

We always use regent because food is normally lovely but got chicken chow mein tonight and the chicken was awful. Very rubbery so think we.llbe looking for a new takeaway

Got the salt and pepper chicken and king prawn cashew nut with salt and pepper chips by far the best Chinese in a long time 5 stars !

Used this takeaway for 20 yrs. The food has been very very nice... Looks like recent change of owners/managers... They have modernised it with new menu. Some items are great (eg pizza box) but a couple of others have changed flavour ( which I don't enjoy the new as much) meals taste different on different nights (must have more than one cook) also chicken not quality it was .dropped 2 stars because of this

Just ordered 2 different meals and have left them both very bad quality meet curry tasteless never be going back

First time here delivery was very promt food well coocked a slight mix up with order but may b down me 2wife as shes a bit mad meal was rather salty as i have bad heart not good 4me very thirsty hope this is one off will try them again and see.

First time we’ve had food from here & it was beautiful. It came on time & delivery driver was lovely

First & last time dry food hardly any meat in my special chow mein chips had a burned smell & taste

Ordered a Chinese from here and it’s was absolutely vile. I don’t know what I was eating but it certainly was not chicken. Looks like cheap processed food. UNEATABLE the full meal went in the bin🤢🤢

Been ordering fantastic food from this takeaway for years. Never once have they let me down or had a bad meal. Unlike all the other takeaways on Saltwell Road.

Started recently to go back here. Can't fault the food. Sweet n sour chicken hk style is 1st class. friendly boy or girl serving and an older woman cook who seems to put alot of passion and experience into the food. Give it a try. The duck is good too!
