Came in today had a small chicken dinner .chicken tastes like it came from a frozen bag cooked I've had chicken like that before didn't like it . Roast potatoes are meant to be be crispy on outside and fluffy inside .but were hard. best thing was yorkshire pudding. If I was a chef I'd be worried why a person would leave so much food .doesn't matter about that people pay for it its about a empty plate snd people come back . I do have some training did a level one in nvq in catering but when it comes to hospitality . Don't think I'll be eating here again ...

Food was so good but the service was not the best. But Would definitely give it a second chance some of the staff were so helpful

Nice looking pub that is dog friendly and the staff friendly, however the food is rubbish. We ordered the homemade burger which came out as two 4oz burnt yuk the dogs ate it and the frys were overcooked, sour coleslaw. Needless to say we wont be returning!

What has happened to my local of 14 years? It takes someone special to turn a beautiful country pub into a hovel in 6 months. Half of the pumps were off. It was empty and soulless except for a bunch of loud foul-mouthed young lads shouting across the floor. God knows what they were on but they all seemed to be sniffing badly with a cold. My only hope is that the owners run down the pub so bad it gets taken over by someone else as they out of their depth. NOT family friendly. Gutted for this historic pub.

Very disappointed with the service we received going for Sunday lunch. First of all we were kept waiting a while before we could go up and get our food. Then with me being vegetarian when I said no meat just Yorkshire puddings please I was told “no you can’t because they have a stuffing ball sitting on the top” I then asked if they could just remove the stuffing ball so I could have a few with my lunch instead of just a plate of veg which I got one but was told I wasn’t allowed two because there were people behind me. The attitude was shocking and they should have had enough/plenty to feed people..we then realised that 2 of us out of the group received small plates when we ordered large so after eating our food we made the manager aware then we had tokens for large plates but were given small so asked that is changed on our bill. After going off to the kitchen for a few minutes and hearing the staff kick off about what we said, the manager returned to try and argue the reason why we got those size plates and that we still have to pay for the large. Because of the poor experience we didn’t want to argue, we felt too uncomfortable and wanted to leave.Shocking customer service

Didn't really get a true depiction on this Pub, wasn't many in but who was made it count, was a freezing cold February night and was a buskers evening hosted by the more than capable Michael Rolf, an enjoyable experience hopefully more folk will be there the next time I visit.
