Really nice to support an independent pub restaurant in an area that has been taken over by faceless restaurant chains. Friendly staff, interesting decor and good quality food. Given its location near to several hotels it would be easy to just offer basic food and service but they didn't. So we went away well fed and happy 😊.

Best Sunday lunch I've had locally. Beef was so tasty as was the rest of the meal.Pietro and the staff are so welcoming, the owner giving little kids lollies, great friendly place. Will definitely return as much as possible. Was really busy but we were served within 10mins. 😍👌🍺

Food was good when it finally arrived about an hour after placing the order. And tables on either side of us that arrived much later were served, finished and gone. Service was slow at best, no one ever checked if we would like more water even never mind anything else to drink. And we were never asked if we wanted dessert so we paid and left. we had to go to the counter to get the bill that was never brought to the table either. What a disappointment!!

Just got home after celebrating my birthday with family here, including my young grandchildren. This was my 1st visit and hopefully not my last. Fantastic food, perfect staff (very accommodating) and an amazing family friendly atmosphere. Slight wait for food, but understandably, as it was quite busy and the food is cooked fresh ( and extremely well! )

Expect a warm welcome on arrival, ideally situated a very short walk from a few hotels in the area and I can assure you they serve much better food. I ordered the mixed grill and as a big eater I was ready for the challenge but was really struggling at the end. The steak was cooked just how I’d ordered, sausages very nice with the nice addition of black pudding and a beef burger that really makes a mixed grill for me. Everything was lovely and I had no room for dessert although they looked amazing. Prices very reasonable for the size of the portions and the staff couldn’t do enough to ensure everything was to my standard. I was pleased to see they had two locally produced real ales on my visit which seemed well kept. I will certainly be visiting again.

The Skiff was recommended to me a while back. I wish I'd gone sooner. Probably one of the best pub meals I've ever had. Thought Wednesday might be quiet, how wrong I was. Luckily got a table for two quickly, but would definitely book next time. And there will be plenty of "Next times!"

The number of people in the Inn on a Monday evening tells the tale. There was a constant stream of people coming in throughout the night for food. The quality of the food is second to none as is the quantity. All at a reasonable price. And don't forget the owner Papa John who is a lovely guy and mingles among his patrons.
