Great cafe, good selection of food and drinks. Plus great pop up nights. The new covered deck area looks fab and adds needed extra seating as it's a popular cafe.

First time I had been here. Great menu, lots of choice and breakfast all day! Portions are a good size and everything made fresh. Would recommend.

Absolutely lovely place. Staff are really friendly and the food is so tasty. I had the chicken, bacon n cheese toastie. Great views of the river and relaxing friendly atmosphere. Will be going again.

Lovely small cafe on the Tyne with views across to Newcastle. Just discovered yesterday and I've been back today. Staff really nice, friendly and so helpful. Dogs welcome too.Good selection of savoury and sweet foods. Well worth a visit whilst out for a walk.

Arrived 11:45 but a nightmare to park so didn't get to door until 12:00. Told 15 minute wait but more like 25 minutes. When at front of queue invited to wait inside which was nice as it was cold and windy and my 84 year old mum was losing the will to liveA further 5 minutes inside then seated upstairs on 2 comfortable sofas. No real menu other than on board downstairs or via a q code scan on my mobile. Had to go back downstairs to order and queue again then queue again for drinks. £27 for eggs Benedict, toasted pannine and a massive Yorkshire salad plus tea, coffee and a coke. Once food ordered arrived fairly quickly. My salad was very good and came with two slices of good bread. Table between sofas very low and tricky to eat - suggest you wait for a table. VERY busy with takeaways as well and quite noisy. Food very good though if a little expensive. Biggest gripe is parking. Mostly private parking and traffic wardens circling to hand out tickets.staff pleasant enough.

Tiled floors and zinc staircase rails with safety cables and track lighting with high ceilings are a kind of post industrial loft like look. And unlike this review the place is not pretentious. Well staffed counter ordering and paying and orders bought to tables. Mix of arm chairs, sofas and straight backed table seating. Upstairs gallery area with good views. Large latte, flapjack and fruit scone with jam just over six quid. Fresh baked goods and hot dishes. Really popular, and deservedly so. Loved it. Splendid river walks, and views of the Staaiths are a bonus.

I have been visiting this little gem for years and think I have had pretty much everything on the menu... which is all delicious! No matter the day or time you're always greeted with a smile. The staff are fantastic at what they do, no matter how busy it is they're always in controlAn amazing cafe, which I'm lucky to have on my doorstep

Decent breakfast and a beautiful location. Lovely inside with two floors, lots of fantastic local artwork on the walls and it’s even pet friendly which is handy. Only downside is the parking, such a busy location it’s a nightmare to park.

A lovely venue with exquisite views. Breakfast was nice and the poached egg a nice change. Worth a visit
