Where is The Victoria?

🏠 Kells Ln, Low Fell, Gateshead NE9 5HY

"A cool, happening bar, ideally located in the centre of Low Fell. Lots of quirky and odball design features. Enchanted beer garden to wile away those summer nights and boozy gin soaked afternoons. Its all about the gin!! Arguably the best Sunday lunch in the North East. An ever evolving menu with tempting dishes, to tantalize your taste buds - hugely popular, dirty fries, handcrafted pzzas, succulent Rotisserie meats and innovative vegetarian delights. All food freshly made by our skilled, enthusiastic, dedicated kitchen team!"

Visited for birthday with my daughter's and baby grandson at lunch time had not been in a long time, food was delicious I had pork with crackling and chips which was delicious, daughter's had stew and cheese dumplings which they loved.. Couldn't manage a dessert to full.Big shout out to Michelle our waitress who was absolutely brilliant so lovely took time to come and chat to us and made a big fuss of baby. Will be back

Definitely wouldn't go back. The positive: the building Is nice and the drinks were low priced. The negative: food quality is very low, the menu is too diverse to be done well. Our group had particularly issues with the "pizza" which was more of an over salted flatbread with little topping. To the servers credit it was removed from the bills and replaced with dirty fries which again were not very nice.Secondly it took 30minutes from issuing receipt to get to pay, staff too busy elsewhere and hard to stop them. You would think payment would be a priority in a business but apparently not.Thirdly a minor observation, it's a old building with lots of character, but that's spoiled by panels screwed into the walls and turf on the ceiling. An old pub, trying to be a trendy pub.Given the abundance of places around low fell. I would recommend elsewhere.

It's cosy a nice space and very rustic, I don't drink so the alc free options were top class.

Excellent Sunday roast. Have to mention how professional and accommodating the staff are. They were very patient with us (we were waiting fo people to arrive before ordering) and were polite when explaining how they needed the table for the next booking. We really enjoyed our first visit here and will definitely be returning!

We went for Sunday lunch and weren't disappointed. I chose the lamb and it was delicious, melted in your mouth. There was plenty of veg and potatoes. I also had the hot chocolate fudge cake for dessert which was lovely aswell. We were quite a large party (13 of us) we were very well looked after the staff were lovely and couldn't be more helpful. I would definitely recommend a visit its a very clean well presented pub.
