Toby Carvery in Gateshead

Lovely place lovely staff great prices £8.49 for midweek carvary £4 for the ice cream I'd definitely give it more than 5 stars brilliant carvary :)

The food here was delicious and warm. We tried the Carvery. It was not too salty or greasy. There were also plenty of fresh cooked vegetable choices, and also a Mac & Cheese from the selection.We also want to highlight the customer service provided by Jack. He was very attentive, efficient and always had a smile on his face. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Keep up the good work.

Greeted by the lovely ning and I asked for a table for 2. Very quick service and got our table straight away. Placed our drinks order which was taken by Helen. Brilliant service from both. Drinks arrived they were cold and very refreshing. Helen then took our food orders with a very positive friendly manner. Like our drinks our food was very nice. Helen informed me of the extra veg I could add onto my plate. All through out our dining experience we were totally satisfied with everything. Food tasty and hot and drinks refreshing and cold. Music volume at right level room temperature was exceptional. The perfect lunch. Definitely coming back especially for just the service if anything. Helen was one of the friendliest waitresses I've ever met in any restaurant. Keep up the good work everyone.

Absolutely lovely time with the family! Helen our server was lovely and had a laugh with us! Such an enthusiastic personality! Checked up on us to make sure everything was okay with our food too. Customer Service was brilliant!

Went for the buffet breakfast. Lovely hot food,just a nice traditional choice with a touch of Yorkshire pudding. Staff nice and friendly and would recommend. Definitely be back my 2yr old loved it too.

First time we have visited here, normally visit another Toby. Wow. We’ve been missing out. I can honestly say, it’s the best meal we have ever had. Taste was amazing, we all said it was fantastic. Our new go to Toby. And the staff, well again all went above and beyond, especially Ning. A real family experience, can’t wait to go back. Just perfect.

The best Toby carvery I've ever been to, and we've tried a few. The staff are brilliant, friendly but professional and I've never seen a sourpus amongst them. It's clean and welcoming. We regularly travel over 60 miles and past our local Toby to go to this one. Highly recommend

Been for tea tonight with my sister. Staff very nice and helpful. The meal was disgusting, looked and tasted like vegetables andYorkshire puddings we’re all dried up and been there for a long time. Hardly any meat and the gravy was cold and lumpy. Had sponge cake and custard, there was a dollop of jam on top, looked like it came straight from jar. I will not be going back. Always went for a Toby with friends and family but never again.

Wonderful friendly staff, especially 'Claire' who was warm and attentive and made us feel very comfortable. Thankyou for an exceptional service. Food was fabulous, meat so tender it melts in your mouth, and a large selection of veg. We came way needing a lie down, very good value for money and would highly recommend. We'll definately be back again soon.

Very nice decor friendly staff Katie was a good hostess as was another lady who's name eluded me. The meal was fabulous, chef was a chirpy chappie, all made this southerner feel very welcome.
