- Great beers. Amazing views. Cool vibe. Log cabin feel.- Well cooked meat. Good Sunday roast. Well priced too.- Starters and small plates are disappointing- The roast pigs head was an experience but wouldn't have it again.- The 1kg prime rib was better the first time. The smoked marrow is lovely. It's a nice restaurant and high on the list if you're looking to impress.

Food was amazing (try the spinach tops if you get the chance) and it was such good value. Would have been 5 stars but one of the members of staff made me feel constantly uncomfortable, and had the general air that having guests in was hindering her day. Guy serving me was lovely though 😌

The food at Traköl was delicious - fresh, high quality ingredients, and melt in your mouth flavours. The beetroot, rhubarb and pumpkin seed veggie dish was the unsung hero, what an unexpected delight! We ordered the lamb and sirloin steak for mains which were cooked perfectly but were very rich and could’ve used something to balance that out.I was hoping to find a chocolate dessert on the menu but sadly not there, and they were out of the goats curd ice cream so we skipped on dessert, maybe another time! All in all, I would definitely recommend going here, the food was great! I think was expecting just that little bit more from them to give it 5 stars as I’d heard amazing things from others.

Been 2 years since here last, still on point, well cooked, inventive and nourishing food. The steak sharing platter is well worth it for a treat, super well seasoned, this might put some off, but I love plenty sodium so suited me.Worth noting staff were great- attentive but not intrusive, friendly with some advice when asked about dishes, thanks guys.

The food was outstanding. We decided to give it a try after seeing they were a Michelin Guide restaurant and, more importantly, that they have t-bone served by the cut (>1kg) and it did not disappoint! The service is fantastic and the location is great (views to the river). We will definitely be coming again! Fully recommend it.

Sun shone on the south side of the tyne, great food, we had the catch of the day, sea bass baked in salt...lovely...would also recommend the baked oysters.

The food is amazing... good menu, well explained and well cooked. The Feasting shared meals should be experienced. The fish of the day was trout with crab & caviar butter/sauce - delicious! The steak with bone marrow was also very flavorsome. The Feasting dishes are big, particularly the fish; comfortable sharable between 3, or 4 smaller eaters. The staff didn't mention this and we ended with too many starters and almost 1/2 the fish was left which we would take out but they didn't have bags (only boxes) therefore couldn't take to our next stop. What a real shame that was.The wine list was short but a few goodies at reasonable prices. The staff were attentive but didn't know how to read the customers, and kept interrupting to take orders, direct questions, etc... other than that good service.Toilets are shared with other venues and on Saturday night when we went, the ladies' was in a poor state. When informed the staff took the feedback well and attended to it quickly.I haven't been to many places in NCL but would agree with those whose say one of the best places in town.

Had a lovely time here: the space is superb, really nicely designed, well lit - cosy when it needs to be and obviously makes the most of the sunshine when it’s around. The food is more than decent, modish open flame stuff. Beer was excellent and wine list was short but well balanced. Service was nice and relaxed but still super attentive. Good work

Simply incredible food with brilliant service! Topped of by what my friend described as, probably “the best beer I’ve ever had”
