Woodmans Arms in Gateshead

We met friends here for an evening meal which was excellent. The service was very friendly and well paced. Nice staff and atmosphere. Fair prices for good food. The pies especially are highly recommended.

The food here was delicious and accompanied with a beautifully decorated environment it was the perfect place to celebrate with my family. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.

I've visited The Woodmans Arms many times and had a great experience every time but especially my visit on Sunday.I booked at 3:15 for myself, my partner and our 7 month old.It was very busy as expected on a sunny mothers day but this did not effect the service we got.We were seen to very quickly at the door, all the staff appeared rushed off their feet but the high level of service was great to see. The food came out lightning quick and as always the portion sizes were plenty!

Beautiful gastro pub. Well decorated for a warm country pub feel. Very pleasant and welcoming staff and good drunk selection. A Tuesday night but still almost full house gives a fab 1st impression.Star of the show in a gastro pub of course the food. Well priced for the superb quality. Award winning steak and cheese pie was fantastic. Top marks all round. We will be back.

Lovely restaurant, very clean and well laid out. Staff attentive and friendly, the food itself was well thought out, interesting and very nice at a reasonable price.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch here! Beef was absolutely perfect. Thoroughly enjoyed the dinner!!

My husband and I were there today. Definitely disappointed. When we arrived we ordered drinks 1 arrived and it took 20mins to tell us the draft cider was off. Service was slow when my meal arrived was disappiomted the Luxury Fish Pie was not luxurious BLAND only contained cod and salmon with lumpy mash. I know with it being Valentine's Day they were busy didnt bother complaining but standards shouldnt drop.

The Sunday Lunch was tremendous. Lovely staff, great venue, would definitely recommend.

Nice country pub with rustic style.Good choice of food and drinks on the menu, I recommend the Baked Camembert starter but share between 3/4 people - it was delicious!We visited on a Tuesday night and it was busy which is a good sign though 👍

Really nice pub with a great atmosphere, no wonder it is always busy. Staff are friendly and attentive. The food was really good and can honestly say it was filling, maybe the fish could of been less oily but it tasted so good. Certainly a place to visit winter or summer as they have a large out door sitting area.
