Fish Face in Hartlepool

Has some lovely fish and chips here the last time I was in the area. Also had scraps which I haven’t had for years (the chippies in South Wales look at you as if you have two heads if you ask them for scraps lol)

ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. I'm not a massive fish and chip lover, but went here after a family member booked for a get together. (If you want to sit inside I would advise ringing and booking a table in advance as it can get really busy. Anyway I cleared my plate. They really were the best fish chips and mushy peas I've ever had! Thank you Fish Face. I'd definitely recommend and certainly be back.

Beautiful fish & chips - perfect batter, crispy and light. Chips were delicious. Curry sauce was thick and full of flavour. Bit more salt and vinegar would have been good but we've learnt for next time.Huge queues outside all 3 of the fish shops when we arrived here. Nice benches by the beach to eat at and good parking.

We have been using Fish Face for quite a while now, and have never really been unhappy with it, that was until yesterday.We went there from Spennymoor specifically for a nice meal with our daughter and grandson what a shambolic experience it was. When our meals arrived the chips were cold on complaining the chips were taken away leaving us to eat our fish on its own while it was still hot. Then when we ordered an ice cream dessert for the grandson, they came back and said that they didn't have anything to serve it in and would we be happy with it as a milkshake that came and was tasteless. At no point even when paying nearly £40, were we asked if things were okay with the meal. We personally will probably start going elsewhere and stop recommending them to our friends.

Gorgeous fish and chips. I have to say the customer service we encountered in here is second to none. Aswell as rhe polite and resepctful service my mother and I recieved, we witnessed wonderful customer service to a what I found out was a regular lady customer in later adulthood. I commented to the staff on rhe way out how lovely, caring and sensitive they had been to her needs. I feel that these staff are a credit to the business. Was so lovely to see. We will be back so thanks.

The most delicious fish and chips ever!! This is most definitely our new favourite place! Super delicious fish and the chips were also so nice as the fish on top didn't leave them drenched in oil. We will definitely be returning!!

Fish and chips are my absolute favourite, and this place is in my top3. It was just superb. Portion sizes are huge. The chips were great, fish was fantastic and you could hardly taste any grease. We also got a portion of halloumi fries, they were delicious! The curry and peas was also top notch. Well worth a visit!
