Indian Cottage in Hartlepool

Food was absolutely rotten cold and horrible chicken was dryNaan was like card I’d never order again Aldi been waiting over 5 months for a refund from just eat for this ‘meal’ .. learned my lesson and shared with my food page which has over 15k members so hopefully I stop anyone else being disappointed

Visited here on Christmas day "night " no extra charge because it was Christmas Daynot a bad little placecould do with updatingfood was okjust a little bit hot for a chicken biryanistaff friendly though couldn't ask for more

Just had a meal and I’ve never ate food so bad!! The yogurt sauce was off all curdled the rice was bland and the prawn curry was awful!! Paratha as dry as a New Deli tut tut drivers flip flop. Dreading tomorrow at work probably won’t get off the kazi 💩🤢

This place is the best ever, The quality of food And the way it’s cooked is amazing,The menu needs a good looking at as there is many of fine dishes and you can also request the choice of meat by telephone, used to be a user of a curry house in Seaton which took a massive down turn ( my opinion after being let down so many times ) any way for a take away, or delivery you have to try the cottage you will not be disappointed

I WOULD NOT EAT HERE EVER I HAVE ONCE AND I NEVER WILL AGAIN I WAS ILL FOR DAYS ON END WITH FOOD POISIONINGONE OF THE GUYS THAT WORKS HERE AS WE LIVE NOT FAR FROM THIS PLACE ON YORK ROAD KEEPS LOOKING UP AT THE WINDOW AND TRYING TO SPEAK TO MY 23 YEAR OLD GIRLFRIEND INNAPROPRIATLY SHE HAS TOLD HIM TO GO AWAY BUT STILL HE TRIED

Cottage special thali...you get 3 Currys 1 chicken curry ,1 chicken tikka masala, 1 Madras, 1 rice, 5 chicken tikka pieces,1 onion bargi,1 bag of chips and 1 garlic nan...£8.95 an absolute bargain does 3 people easy

I would give this zero if I could we ordered chicken paneer which is a cheese sauce dish and andon't a Sri Lankan dish which is advertised as fairly hot. The Paneer was just dry Tika chicken and when we phoned to complain we were told to come back and they would make a fresh one, I took it back and they took it away and brought a new dish out and when I got it home it was the same dish with some grated cheese on top ! My Sri Lankan dish was the hottest thing I've ever had no taste or flavour just made hot sauce, both went in the bin never ever going back
