Yea nice place nice staff enjoyed my visit cheers. Not as hot as I was expecting but they do hot sauce so it’s all good.

Half the stuff on the menu was not available, no drinks were available or limited. Felt sorry for the young lass running about all over the place, serving, cleaning up, taking orders. Very poor performance by the restaurant. Spoilt the birthday meal.

·

Very nice food. An exited party two tables away where extremely loud. When the staff asked them to be a bit quieter on our behalf the party apologised and offered to pay our bill!! A lovely gesture which took us quite by surprise. Thank you mysterious (but quite loud) strangers :)

·

Staff are friendly, Food was delicious. They even sell the sauce to make your own ribs/wings whatever. Place is cash only.

·

Really enjoyed our visit! Staff extremely friendly and food was exceptional! Will be back for certain!

·

Lovely food, lovely staff, great place to eat, will deffo be going back.

·

Enjoyable themed restaurant staffed by friendly staff. We had jerk parmo's - which we thought quite fun - could have done with a bit more spice though. Cash only - but there's a free ATM just outside

The food was good, we were all amazed by the quality and taste of the kids beef burger, it was excellent. Also would like to make a special point of saying how brilliant the manager here is. What a lovely guy and great with my granddaughter. Definitely will go back.

Waited for too long people were coming in sitting and eating then leaving we hadn’t even seen our food ! Must of changed hands manager gave us free drink for the inconvenience, ok meal but there was just sauce overload too much. Also needs a mirror in bathroom needs a mirror

It's getting better all the timeI must admit I am an original kilimandjaro/Manjaro's fan, I have followed them for many years from the original first restaurant in Prince Regent Street Stockton then to linthorp Road Middlesbrough (now Manjaro's) and back to Stockton down the Riverside and then 2 New one's, one in Middlesbrough (still Kilimanjaro but under new management and not so good now) & this one in Hartlepool. It started off very quiet in this little restaurant but over the months its built up to be a busy lively place, dress in shorts t-shirt casual or dress up & you will still be welcome and won't look out of place here, singles couples families and groups can relax and enjoy themselves, it's clean and tidy well decorated in a carbine style including the lively music! You will soon be attended to as you enter the door and offered a table by one of the lovely friendly waitresses and given menu's and offered drinksThey have spirits, one lager & one cider on tap plus a selection of soft drinks or just have water for free.As for the food this is the best Manjaro's so far! Lots of nice starters (I recommend the Mushrooms in creamy Manjaro's sauce) mains include Beautifully cooked chicken, selection of parmo's (the best Parmo ever according to my wife) Lamb chops and loads more, most served with homemade wedges & salad, Manjaro's medium sauce & Garlic sauce are brought to your table, everything I have tried so far is gorgeous. They have a selection of desserts which are fine too but nothing to shout about.Good points-Nice friendly staffClean and tidy placeBig portionsCheap pricesLovely foodWalk in or bookBad points-Cotton napkins! (it might be my OCD but I have seen people blow their nose on these and I don't want to wipe my mouth on them!) please get disposable napkins.Sometimes run out of cider lager on tap so only bottles available.Card machine out of order most of the time so take cash! (cash machine just outside)We go here nearly every week and always enjoy it, always have a nice chat with the friendly staff and the managerKeep up the good work thanks!
