Touring from far, first impressions last... Not impressed, the place is so highly rated that we were excited to get there and give it a shot, only to be turned away at the door at 20:25 immediately. Google says they close at 22:00 and the sign on the door says 21:30, so which is it? After how the waitress/front of house treated us upon entrance I wouldn't come back and think they need to get themselves together... Honestly.

This was our third visit to Matteo's,as we stop at the Marine hotel next door for a nice getaway. Its never failed to disappoint us,food was excellent and its always service with a smile. Hope to be back again soon.

For a Italian restaurant this place packs a punch. Fantastic food, full of flavour and so tasty and at a price that is such good value. Lovely staff where nothing was too much. A nice view from ground floor and even better one from upstairs. If you are in the area, this place is a must go. Beats Ask and other generic chains for both value and quality. Outstanding. Really nice, well done guys.
