Raby Arms in Hartlepool

This pub has huge portions so bring your appetite. I ordered the pie and was asked if wanted lite bite or main version. I asked for the main which basically means 2 pies! Tasted great with Mash and Veg. Pub is in the centre of this lovely village. Highly recommended.

Great atmosphere nice menu wide range great prices nice traditional beers great family orientated well presented . Lovely food fresh hot verh tasty tastefully decorated and welcoming highly recommend

Food was outstanding. Specials night on parmos 2 for £20.brie and cranberry. Pancakes with three toppings. Food baby going on now. Thanks to Victoria for looking after us. Totally perfect experience.

Yorkshire puddings were like burnt bricks. Selection of veg wasn't good. Portions were small apart from the meat,and the service was rubbish. Waited a half hour for a dessert (only ice cream). Not impressed at all

Ive give this 1 star and that's me being generous. Can't believe is this is served as a portion of vegetable...... and could get the drinks order right. Don't waste your money

Had a lovely meal here about three weeks earlier.. Sunday dinner and desserts were lovely and nice portions. We recommended this for a Sunday dinner with our family to celebrate a special occassion. On the second occassion we were ignored, despite going to the bar on the way in and bar staff mentioning that order will be taken at the table, unfortunately it never materialised. At no point during the entire visit did any one take a drink order at the table, despite empty drinks on tables and we resorted to going to the bar ourselves anyway after waiting 15mins. Staff were almost non existent and when they did come to the table were often rude. We had an extra portion of food brought to the table and when we stated that we hadn't ordered it the waitress returned again from the kitchen stating well it was on your ticket so what do you want to do with it. 45 mins for table to be cleared and by the time we had to ask for desserts, there was little available so we didn't order. On this occasion the service really let the place down; not only affecting our experience but from a business point of view lost out on takings. There were also other tables heard around us that were not happy with service and availability too, so I believe it was not an isolated incident.In summary food was lovely, service was poor and we were embarrassed as to have recommended it to family on this occasion.

Pleasant staff, good menu, delicious food. Only a choice of 2 hand pulled beers on arrival which went down to 1 by the time we ordered so that was a bit disappointing.

Only took a picture of my dessert, but that does not mean that the main meal was not great as well. The food definitely did not disappoint, nor did the venue or the super friendly staff members

Nice food, and drink. Good atmosphere and decor. My only negative would be that service can be very hit and miss when sitting in the dog friendly bottom bar.

Very modern pub with helpful & friendly staff food was 10/10 would highly recommend
