Rainbow City Chinese Takeaway in Hartlepool

Wrong order sent then sent the right one. Sauces was so thick you could stand a spoon up in it and was cold. Haven’t been to rainbow city on a long time and won’t be going back

Weird tonight's order as if its been took over without telling anyone. Crab meat and sweetcorn soup literally had two ocean sticks uncut in it. Sweet and Sour chicken was overpowered by pineapple taste and the sauce dark thick red. Not like usual. Totally disappointed and waited over 1 hr 40 mins for delivery. Probably last time I'll order.

Turned up after almost an hours wait not even hot the egg fried rice looked like it was from yesterday and not fresh the curry was in a tub with what looked like another dish has been put into and the curry just put on top and not a fresh tub used and it was swimming on grease it all went in the bin what a massive waste never ordering from here again

Although food hot and delivery was on time. Considering I waited nearly an hour I expected fresh food. The chips were fried multiple times that there was no potato left on in side. The bent chips couldn't even be pulled back to shape because they were so crisped. The crispy beef was more like scraps you get from a chip shop. No presentation and very rubbery in texture. Maybe cook the food fresh instead of blanching it several times before serving people know when food has been pre-cooked as it loses quality in taste and texture. The quality is absolute poor.Really off putting when you've spent half of the day in hospital and home late to cook.Won't be ordering again.

First time and definitely won't be my last! Really tasty food and delivered piping hot. Delivery lady was lovely.

Just ordered a Chicken & Prawn chow and egg fried rice.£12 ish deliveredNo flavour what so ever except the rice and gravy.Rice a bit fluffy sticky ish. Just to say..The Chow Main had bean shoots, onion & noodles. Is it supposed to have pepper or something to give it it’s distinctive chow main taste which it lacked.fresh but tasteless.

Ordered mixed grill sausage & peas missing, instead of ringing me & asking if I wanted the order still , they said they had put an extra couple of bits of bacon on instead. Load of rubbish wont be ordering again.

Asked for special chowmain..when it came it wasnt chowmaine it was a box of rice with gravy poured over it.. I spoke to the manager who said they will send the chowmain out straight away.. they didnt bother.. so I spent nearly £20 on a bowl of rice and gravy and a chicken curry and 2 chips.. which were cold and the chips looked like they were a day old.. will never eat there again.. I would advise people not to order from this place

Not impressed by the explanation given for a clear misrepresentation of a duck dish that was delivered. I ordered two duck dishes in a multiple item order. One was duck coloured and tasted of duck whilst the other was white meat which looked and smelled and tasted like chicken. When queried with the staff at the takeaway I was assured that the order was correct. It wasn't. I will not use this business again.

Just had the unfortunate experience of Rainbow City, partner went in and ordered food, was given the wrong food and when we phoned up to point this out, was told we "would have to pay again!" I know times are tough businesswise but this is taking the p**s, why should I pay twice for their mistake? Will never put another penny their way and will tell everyone I know loudly to avoid these scam artists!!!
