Been told about the Almighty Cod from a friend. I'm from Rotherham and I was taking my son to Newcastle airport so on way back home made detour to go.My friend was right they were absolutely delicious and the portion sizes really good and not overpriced.Just one more the 2 girls behind the counter was very friendly and polite.Recommed you try

Great service and excellent food! Small queue but well worth the wait! Will visit again when we're back down 😁

·

Excellent freshly cooked fish decent size too. Chips could do with an extra couple of minutes, give them a bit of colour .

·

Well considering the 10-15 minute wait outside just to get in to the shop the fish was overcooked to the point of being inedible and the chips seemed like they'd been kept warm for hours mostly dry and crisp . Wish I'd gone to Young's now will not be back

Excellent food. Good service. Shame the debit card reader was 'defective' and local ATM was 'out of order'. Had to get cash from local amusement arcade which only issued cash as pound coins. £40.00 in coins is heavy. Fun counting those out to pay for fish and chips for five people though.

Love the food. The fish is amazing and a very generous portion of chips. Well worth the price you pay.

You won't get better gluten free fish in batter anywhere, I drove an hour from North Yorkshire because I fancied fish and chips today and they didn't disappoint. Apparently the curry sauce is delicious too, my partner requested I take a tub home to put on his tea tonight 😂 We always visit here on a day out to Seaton. The staff are all so friendly too, it's a definite 5 stars from me.

I did have to wait a little bit for my chips order but that is normal for a busy chip shop. The portions where more than adequate and maybe better suited for the larger appetite. It lacks nothing in taste. Plenty of choice and always busy.

No complaints about the fish which was juicy and well battered. The chips were very flavoursome and not greasy. The cheese patties got a big thumbs down for lacking cheese flavour though. Staff were pleasant enough.

Worth the wait. Only place I'll eat chips from, the half lot fish is really nice, shame they never seem to have it anymore, the full size fish isn't as nice, even when they nice enough to cut one in half to make a half lot portion. However still nicer than any other chip shop I've found on Teesside.
