The King Johns Tavern in Hartlepool

I visited this friendly spacious Hartlepool locals pub on Tuesday15th March 2022This pub has beers on at weatherspoon prices and all beers on handpump today wete of premium strength but there was a great quality of beers on offerFriendly and full of hartlepool local people hood staff and a clean pub serving a good range of foodWell done all!!!!

Went to the king John's on Sunday after the parade one of the bar staff wasn't polite at all was rude to me and my partner when we were being served I assume she was also rude to other people as well all because pub was busy my advice to her would be if you don't like it being busy then either change profession or work some were elseit seems the management accused US of being rude to his staff we have being to this pub since it opened and never been spoken to like that by staff but it's okay we won't be going back as it seems king John's MANAGER doesn't mind if the bar staff are rude as it's better to keep bar staff than customers fine by us thiers other pubs with friendly staff and better service

Enjoyed a really nice lunch today. Amazing value for money. Excellent food and great service. Will definitely visit again.

I've ate and drank here since I was 16 and I'm almost 37. I remember the old days when a thick cloud of smoke blocked out the ceiling. I remember after the smoking ban came into effect, just how nice some of the ceiling effects actually were.I had my first ever date here when I was 16. So the place holds sentimental value for me.This place always has a good buzz and a great atmosphere. It's a lovely place to drink with mates.The food is standard pub food but done well. Never had a bad meal here. Plenty of parking out back, behind the beer garden.

Visited the King Johns a few times in last few weeks and its a proper pub. Great drinks and nice food. Staff are nice & happy to help.

Though not a weatherspoons anymore, they have taken on board the cheap drink and food mantle, which is good The surroundings could do with a male over as it is looking very dated.

Great selection of local Ales, However it really could do with being brighter lighting and a good paint throughout needs modernising big time. Staff is polite and welcoming.

A few beer options and decent prices, interior is getting dated now, picks up some undesirables due to low priced beer options

Not our first visit nor will it be our last, very reasonably priced drinks and exceptional food also reasonably priced.
