Nice to sit outside on a bright sunny day looking out over Hartlepool Bay , a nice pint of Guinness served in a plastic glass if sitting outside. Friendly bar staff.

·

Great little pub, very friendly staff, and a lovely pint 👍

·

Pot House = Top House on a cold February night. Warm fire and warmer clientele.

·

Dog friendly pub right next to the Andy Capp statue. Loses a star as no handpulled beer. Does hot drinks too. Very dog friendly as even has a special menu for pooches, which includes Bark Brew Doggy Beer, Doggy Tapas and Doggy Dinner For One. Lots of nautical ephemera and of course the ubiquitous Hartlepool monkey. Lovely glowing fire. Quite a few stained glass windows. Outdoor seating to the front with sea views. Has a wall mural on the side elevation depicting the Elephant Rock which now, sadly, is no more, as it collapsed. You can still see its feet though at low tide.

Historic local pub on the stunning Hartlepool Headland. Good beer and food available. Statue of comic creation Andy Cape situated outside in honour of creator Reg Smythe. Stunning views of Tees Bay are not to be missed.
