The Staincliffe Hotel Restaurants in Hartlepool

Absolutely gorgeous place service and staff were wonderful everything was clean and orderly defentatly coming back here.

What a great place this is, right on the sea front aswell. The rooms are lovely, and the event rooms are very nice for any event. And its all value for money.

Despite decor improvements still has the same problems of years ago. Toilets absolutely stink of drainage, damp all over the walls and a general musty smell, I was visiting the room to the left of the hotel and it is really showing its age

Had Sunday lunch at the Staincliff hotel today, it was absolutely gorgeous, I would highly recommend it,and we will definitely be back again. Very friendly and helpful staff, the cleanliness was outstanding. 100%

The staff were really kind and I love that the place is dog friendly, but the bathroom was covered in limescale, water pressure was really poor, you can see asbestos in the bathroom ceiling but to be fair it's an old building, paint was bubbled and peeling in the corner of the room and there was a strange chunk of wood lying on the floor outside the door I tripped on a couple of times. The carpet was new though and really nice and the bed was comfortable, sheets were clean and neat and I like the towel replacement system they have in place. TV was cool and it felt easy to sleep at night. It was quite dark which I wasn't a huge fan of, but if I was staying there again I don't think i'd be upset about it.

Was planning on having my wedding here.. until we walked in to staff who didn't have a clue why we were there even though I'd booked an appointment to view, got told the price we get will not be the price we pay because its in the middle of being took over so the price will go up,. Its old and falling apart,. Needs a full staff shake up, new carpets because the carpets in the hall are running up the walls and a few good coats of paint.

A nice hotel recently refurbished it seemed, nice pleasant atmosphere. Difficulties getting to room as no lift and I am disabled the room had a lovely view of the sea down side I could not use bath due slip hazard.

We stayed there 30th July 2021 though room for improvement it has a character off its own and I loved it !! Best nights sleep for ages and staff are more than friendly and nothing was too much if asked.Owner is a nice guy and friendly!! Don't expect the ritzy because this place is far better and I will be staying again 👍

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights, we where guests at a wedding. The chef deserves a mention, all the food he made for the wedding, and our evening meal was excellent, tasty and plentiful. The waiting and bar staff where friendly and very helpful, A special Thank you to the staff who helped set up for the wedding party. Our room was a nice size, clean, and value for money. The communal area's decor was very tasteful, Wishing the new Owner all the best with his new venture

The staff were nice and polite, the foyer and bar area, all good. The room, was so so. The reason being. It could do with updating. It was a huge room though. The windows wouldn't open, we asked for another fan which was supplied straight away. No hassle. There was no hot water for a bath, and shower buttons were missing but u could still use the shower. On a really plus note, the bed was really big and comfy and the hotel is right on the beach. For the money, it's fine to get your head down at the end of the night.
