Lovely pub good service but the food is dreadful. First if all they didnt have what we wanted. Then chose hunters chicken. Chips frozen onion rings frozen (awful) and then to top it all said to the waitress there was no barbecue sauce on the chicken and she said oh yes we havnt got any!! And blamed the girl who took the order. How can you have hunters chicken without barbecue sauce!!

Great venue, with a menu that covers all tastes. Plenty of veggie and vegan options as well. The staff team were attentive and helpful. Will certainly visit again.

Absolutely disgusted at the service of ordering food from here, items missing when it’s been paid for , even extras , burger was Rock hard could do with dental insurance after eating from here…. Not worth the money at all …. 1000% wouldn’t recommend , beautiful presentation but that’s about it ……

The White House is a lovely pub. It's nicely decorated, has a few beautiful roaring fires and it's very cosy and comfortable. It's clean and tidy. There's plenty of parking, including disability bays. The toilets were clean and tidy.The service was very good, staff were attentive and helpful.The pricing is very reasonable, especially the set menu. Five of us dined out, with multiple drinks each, for less than £70.The food was nice. It wasn't fantastic but it was certainly nice for the price point.Using the Ember Inns app to get table service was easy and convenient.Would definitely recommend.

Nice environment, with a warm and friendly welcome on walking in. The house seemed well maintained, cheerful and pleasant throughout. Reasonable choice on menu for all. Good deals on afternoon meals was present and seemed good value for money. Meals where served quickly and where hot on arrival. Staff where chaty and cheerful throughout our stay. Great feeling would recommend to give them a try.

A nice place to relax and partake in the nicer things that life has to offer. Quality and varied selection of drinks served by happy and friendly staff coupled with an ambiance rarely experienced in an ordinary public house. An outside area facing south provides a further pleasant venue at warmer and sunnier times. Food is served but have never sampled it. Only downside is that toilets, although accessed via a gorgeous period staircase, are upstairs and provide quite an effort for my poor old legs and my 72 year old bladder.
