Costa coffee in Middlesbrough

(over a year ago) I've never actually been to this branch, because it's always so overcrowded that I a) don't fancy waiting 40 minutes to get served with ten people or more always in the queue and b) I don't fancy catching Covid-19 from being shoulder to shoulder in such a busy cafe. Always put off by how ridiculously busy it is and how long the queues are.UPDATE: 22.06.22:I finally got a coffee and some cake here, to take out. I must have missed the mad crush as there were only about four people in the queue. The coffee was nice and well made. Sometimes it's hit and miss.

Hours state opening till 4pm on a Sunday. Before visiting my partner today I went to get him a Costa 2.45pm and woman behind counter shouted closed as I walked in. No reason as to why and very rude.

Not open at 6 on a Sunday as it says on website

Masks being worn around the chin, not cover mouth. Eating while making customers coffee. Expect better hygiene in a hospital.

I come here with my dad every 2 days as hes staying in hospital, and we both agreed that one of the waiters (male) makes the best drinks, expecially mine 😊 no offence to the other waiters, we just prefer his. But good services thanks yous lot x

Staff too busy socialising with each other, unclean eating area, the Barista, and I use the term loosely was so busy chatting he didn’t notice the milk boiling all over the worktop & under the machine then just slapped a dirty cloth on it, our visit the other evening was at least 2 hours before they closed, they were only operating “take out service”so every customer was having plastic cups used, paper bags for food,staff were closing seating area off in between talking to someone she obviously knew for over 10 minutes. This outlet needs a bomb under the staff, they think It’s a social Club for them & customers are interrupting them. Needs strong management in place.

This is really the worst Costa I have ever visited. So disorganised it's embarrassing to the Costa brand. There was at least 5 staff on and it took nearly ten minutes to to serve me a coffee with only 5 people in front of me. Staff spend far to much time talking instead of communicating.

Well i would just like to say ,we have been going here almost every day for the past 4weeks .Would like to thank ALL the staff especially Claire and Beth for being so polite and caring,at a time thats been really awful for us .They were so busy sometimes the quews were in the corridor they apologised to customers saying sorry for the wait and they would be as quick as the could Couldnt fault them as they very busy and under pressure to get customers served .Well done all of you xxx

This Costa is the worse costa that i have ever been too, im absolutely appalled with the lack of manners some staff members have they are rude and aggressive, a particular women that wears glasses and has blonde hair is a huge let down to the brand,rolls her eyes if asked to modify anything to the customers taste, she doesnt make the drinks to the description, and is a lazy individual, i feel like never going back shes bringing down the reputation of the place and makes me feel anxious and uneasy which shouldnt happen, All i want is a nice Costa :(This Costa isnt even worth one star if i could vote no stars i would, the staff need to learn how to have good standards, manners and not gossip about there manager its so disrespectful

The staff are a bunch of small minded bullies. So much for being a place that's in the centre of a hospital where caring nature is supposed to be applied, the staff for this Costa should go under strict crb checks due to the nature of them being around vulnerable people
