Ling Yan in Middlesbrough

I think I speak for the majority of Teesside when I ask, what on earth has happened to this place? This takeaway used to be hands down the best takeaway I’ve ever eaten. For over 30 years the queues usedTo be out the door and it was honestly the best quality ever. It got took over and now the food is bland af and not even slightly nice. It’s even getting progressively worse. The chow meins are bland. Watery. Tasteless. The noodles that used to be dark brown are now anaemic and almost white. The rice is anaemic and tasteless. The chips are either dry and cold because they’ve been sat there for ages, or greasy. I once got really stale prawn crackers that had clearly been out for days. Whatever you guys are doing to this place. Please stop. Bring back the original chef. Or upskill your current one. Because this food is so bad.

The best in the area, being going there for years..however very disappointed since owner change, gave it a few goes but sadly failed to keep the same standard of food .

Still decent, I don't really eat much on the menu so can't really comment on it overall, I just get the curry's and I like them

We’ve used this place for years. Never had a bad meal from them - it’s always delicious. Excellent service too.

Worst chinese I've ever had changed owners and is shocking beef curry was full of arteries absolutely rotten wouldnt have give it one star or to the dog.

Chicken Curry, Fried Rice, Chips. Not a great experience to be honest. Rice was super bland, chicken pieces flavourless and boring, (looks suspiciously like Iceland chicken chicken pieces)... curry sauce 4/10. Very large portion but 40% thrown in the bin. All in all a very poor/average experience. Cost £9.70... My price opinion: £6.00 tops! I will not use again.

A truly excellent take-away, Currys, Chop-suey, Chow mein and even their Singapore Noodles are superb! and their service and demeanor is 1st-rate I really couldn't rate Ling Yan higher.

Just tried this takeaway for the 1st time and never again. The food was of a very poor standard. If you like Chinese food, Go elsewhere. Straight in the bin

Really disappointed as came here upon recommendation. Worst chinese I have ever had. Chips were the best part about it and they were chippy style chips. Meat was tough, curry was sweet, prawns were tiny. We won't be returning.

Possibly the best Chinese in Middlesbrough. Staff are friendly, never a long wait and always 5 star food. Cannot recommend enough
